Any time I'm driving at dusk or even a cloudy day, my screens flip between day and night time brightness levels constantly.

For the record, I am NOT talking about light/dark mode (I already have it set to always dark) and I'm well aware of the brightness/contrast settings in the menu as well as the physical brightness button on the left dash. Those do not seem to affect the issue at all. It seems that there is very little delay when the system decides to change between the two -- even just driving into the shadows of few trees, it will decide that it's now night time, and coming back out of the shadow will flip it back to daytime brightness. It will switch back and forth in the space of like ten seconds, and I find it incredibly annoying -- there's no progressive dimming, it just flips back and forth between two very different settings. Does anyone else have this issue? I'm fairly certain I haven't overlooked any additional settings, but it seems like it's way over-sensitive and should at least have more of a time buffer to account for random shadows and clouds. Driving on an overcast day should not cause constant flipping between two brightness levels and I haven't had this issue in any other vehicle.

I believe the infotainment uses the headlight sensor to determine if its dark out (I see mine change as headlights come on). Have you turned off "automatic based on Ambient light"?

it happens but I don't see it as a problem
I'm lookin at the road not at the screen

when it does happen I know it is just sensors doing it's thing
no need to think about it further than that imho

What is the physical brightness button on the left dash? I know about the headlight projection angle adjustment. Maybe your trim level has a dash dimmer knob?

that brightness button on the left steps the mid (combo meter) brightness,
it has no effect on the headunit (on mine anyway)

That automatic setting only switches it between light/dark mode, and I already have it set to Nighttime/dark mode. That doesn't seem to actually affect the dimming behavior.

I personally find my attention to be drawn away from the road a lot more when two huge screens in my face are constantly flipping between settings even though the ambient light from driving under trees for five seconds doesn't at all necessitate it. When I see the screen change in my peripherals it naturally makes me think there's been some notification or update to my Maps directions.

i think the trigger point is tied to the headlights turn on, but not sure. if you have carista you could try this screen ...

Was driving me crazy today as I was driving in overcast conditions. Every time we went under an overpass the map on the screen would flip to dark and the gauge cluster would dim and then once we were back out on the other side it would flip back to light mode. They have the trigger for that set WAY too sensitive.

My screen flipped to dark a few times on my recent trip while going under large overpasses or driving in late afternoon dark canyons. Driving around town, I usually keep my screen in dark mode.

BTW, I keep two microfiber cloths in the console storage. One to lightly remove dust and the second to. followup and wipe off fingerprints. Works great, super easy and keeps the screen nice and scratch free.
