Purchased my '26 to heritage Blue, Sr5 with 3rd row, 4wd, from Ed Mark Toyota in Idaho on Feb of 2026 and drove it home to SoCal.

Here's the build so far:
Kings front and rear 2.5s (w/o adjusters)
Dobinson 885 rear springs (1.5 lift)
SCS Blaze 10 wheels
285/70/17 Nitto Recon Grapplers (sl load)
CBI rock sliders
Trailhunter engine skid
Front ceramic tint

Here's my thoughts on the aftermarket parts. Kings are pretty stiff. You definitely feel the smaller bumps more, but there is more articulation. When fully loaded, they soften a bit I will likely get them revalved since King offers to do them for free within the year.

Dobinson springs ride like stock, but were a bit of a pain to install since they are significantly taller than stock springs. I had to use a spring compressor when installing them. They gave about a 1.25 inch lift in the rear.

I love the SCS wheels. The finish is excellent, they're hubcentric and are lightweight. They also shipped out to me immediately and received them in a few days after ordering them.

The recon grapplers have been ok so far. I chose them because they are lightweight They seemed to balance well, very little vibration, if any, at freeway speeds. The road noise is more than a wild peak at3 or Toyo at3, but I would not consider them loud. Haven't taken them on rough roads so we'll see how they hold up.

CBI sliders - the build quality is excellent, were packaged very well to avoid damage from shipping, but had exactly a 4 week lead time as advertised. They forgot the correct threaded bolts, so I had to wait an extra week for them to arrive to install. A little frustrating after an already 4 week lead time. One other gripe, the sliders hang too low in my opinion and rob some clearance. I feel they could have hugged closer to the body about 2 more inches or angled them up. They would still work as a step as they stick out far enough.

Overall though still pretty happy with how the build came out. It's my daily and I average about 19mpgs/310 miles range.

Readylift level has it just about flat. No rubbing whatsoever at this point, have not been offroad though. +25 offset Fifteen52 Analog HD Wheels w/ 285/70/17 tires seems to be a smidge past fenders anywhere but straight above.

Have not been impressed w/ ride quality thus far, but don't think it got worse from stock with these changes. Gas definitely did, maybe 20 on the highway not using cruise control. Do love the look though lol, very fortunate to have started this with low expectations as far as mpg.

Thinking ASFIR skid next as they seem to be one of the only brands bridging the space to the bumper, hope to be done then.

Hi everyone!

Let me introduce you to Stitch — that’s the name my daughter gave my 2026 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium Hybrid.

I’m coming from a Jeep Wrangler JL that I modified quite a bit, so this time around I told myself I wasn’t going to go crazy with modifications… although we all know how that usually ends.

So far, I’ve added:

• 5 PTR56-35242-F1 wheels, 18x8 with a +45 mm offset.
• 4 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T tires, LT275/70R18 125Q E1 BSW. They fit perfectly with no rubbing or clearance issues.
• Rear Recovery Hook: PT974-89251-03
• Front Tow Hooks: PT974-35250
• Front Skid Plate: PT228-60242
• Alloy Wheel Locks, black: PT276-50190
• Toyota Logo Badge Overlay, Matte Black: PT948-35245-02

I’m currently at around 4,000 miles, and so far I’m extremely happy with the switch from the Wrangler to the 4Runner.

The Wrangler was an awesome vehicle and I really enjoyed modifying it, but the 4Runner has given me a combination of comfort, capability, and practicality that I’m really enjoying.

For now, the plan is to enjoy it and try to keep the modifications to a minimum… although we’ll see how long that promise lasts.

Anyone find a close color match to Heritage Blue? Im talking other than the factory "expensive" ones. I found rustoleum Slate Blue. The closest I found without spending a fortune to paint accent parts.

I’m definitely not building a hardcore rock crawler. The goal is a comfortable daily driver during the week and a capable weekend warrior when it’s time to hit the trails.

Of course, there’s only one problem with having a build list this long… I need to save a LOT more money. Every time I finish one upgrade, somehow I find five more things I “need.”

Fun story behind the TRD Pro hood: I was actually able to upgrade to it because I had a front-end collision. Since the hood needed to be replaced anyway, I figured it was the perfect opportunity to go with the TRD Pro hood instead. Might as well turn an unfortunate situation into a little upgrade!

Still lots of work ahead, but I’m really enjoying the process and seeing the Limited slowly turn into my own version of the perfect daily/weekend 4Runner.

Looking forward to seeing everyone else’s builds and getting more ideas…

I got this thinking it would be darker for the darker blue Im adding to mine, but it was pretty light when I got it. Not sure if its light enough to match the HB, but they have other shades of blue as well
