  1. OEM Subwoofer Upgrade Finished! (Kicker Sub Replacement)

Yes and yes. I kept it plugged in even after swapping out my sub since I'm using the same bracket, but mine is no longer connected to anything.
  2. OEM Subwoofer Upgrade Finished! (Kicker Sub Replacement)

Yea those are my next steps… I’m getting some rattles at the subwoofer at certain frequencies… may be the speaker bezel making contact with the speaker mesh/trim, or may be some other areas near that. The doors have been rattling since day 1 so I gotta address those as well. I believe it’s...
  3. Issues with Taco Tunes Sub Harness?

Yea, forgot to mention but I had ANC and ESE disabled at the dealership
  4. Issues with Taco Tunes Sub Harness?

Thanks! I'll def give this a try. I dont often go past 30 on the volume and only sometimes a bit more. Just wanted more relative bass at those volume levels. In any case, is it ok for the max light on the amp to flash on during bass hits or am i supposed to back off?
  5. Issues with Taco Tunes Sub Harness?

Youre right, it actually does seem to pick up signal from the front doors. I kept using AI to help me tune the sound (since I dont know any better) and it kept saying to keep the equalizers on the head unit to default and to use accubass/gain knobs to achieve the sound I want. I've had...
  6. Issues with Taco Tunes Sub Harness?

No, only played via itunes through bluetooth connection. In any case, I changed the Accubass settings to be a lot more conservative and it seemed to have leveled it out across all songs. Now its like a "better" oem sub... Perhaps I was being greedy but I know I can get a lot more out of my...
  7. Issues with Taco Tunes Sub Harness?

Has anyone achieved successful bass output using the Taco Tunes Add a Subwoofer Harness on their JBL equipped sound system? I'm using the TC harness to obtain the subwoofer signal to AudioControls ACM-1.300 which is essentially identical to the LC2i Pro in terms of Accubass controls. Speaker...
  8. OEM Subwoofer Upgrade Finished! (Kicker Sub Replacement)

Give it a shot! At one point I even went to an audio shop to see if they'll install it for me since I had all the parts. They insisted I'll have to buy everything from them except my Kicker sub and with labor I was quoted $1700... just for a single subwoofer install. And then I remembered a...

Always worth it when theres no current alternative lol I could do this again fairly easily but the first time around was a hell of a squeeze!
  10. OEM Subwoofer Upgrade Finished! (Kicker Sub Replacement)

Just finished swapping out my oem JBL sub for a Kicker compRT8 pushing 300W. The goal was to keep it clean and looking 100% oem without losing any cargo space. This took quite some time as there isnt much info online and I had to spend hours on chatGPT, youtube and constant tinkering. Toyota...
  11. Need suggestions for new amp placement + subwoofer setup

Welcome! I'm pretty new here too and have been trying to figure out how to replace the subwoofer myself for the past month or so. Currently, I'm going with: 1) Beat Sonic EAZ-C02 Power Seat Cable Harness - maybe I should get power direct from battery? Good for 280W. 2) Taco Tunes harness...
