Was wondering if anyone else has this issue/concern...
When I set the seat to the height I prefer the steering wheel cant be set high enough for a clear
view of the front display, forcing a compromised seating position. I realize every vehicle has
compromises but........
Thanks

I noticed the steering wheel height adjustment limitation. It's not much of a problem to me and I've heard of no solution to enable the steering wheel to be somehow adjusted higher.

Agreed, the ergonomics in the 4R is very poor. Getting in and out. Knee's hitting the wheel, etc.

Overall, disappointing purchase. Luckily I only got the SR5 so not too much $$$ put in.

My first and last Toyota.

I’m trying to recall if the limitations of the wheel position and entry/exit existed in the 5th gen. It would be helpful to sit in one and compare side by side.

I do feel like the wheel could go up and out a touch more, but I'm 6'6" and never have any problems getting in and out with it in the highest position it can go.

biggest first world problem i have is i like to sit low but the HUD display sits kinda low in the windshield. have to raise the display to see it at times depending on how low i move my head downward

:ROFLMAO:

at least they let you move the HUD up/down vs our tundra left/right adjustment only

That's typical Toyota. They are horrible at the seat and steering wheel column adjustment. The streering wheel is literally pointing straight out and there is no upward adjustment for it. Kinda annoying.

Interesting to discount an entire brand over ergonomics, which really aren’t that poor. Then again, I discount Range Rover because they have the reliability of a McDonald’s ice cream machine. Wins and losses, I suppose.

I have no issues with the steering wheel height in conjunction with the display now that I lowered my seat a bit. Did this mainly to see enough below the rear view mirror, which appears lower than the 5th gen’s, likely due to the massive space requirement for the front camera housing.
Also agree a grab handle for the driver would be very welcomed IMO, then again the redesigned one on the passenger side is a joke. Who thought that the front passenger could contort (twist) their righthand wrist 180deg to lift theirselves in? Hopefully a retrofit to the 5th gen design will be available soon?

Wheel could come up a bit more but actually I'd like to see a slightly smaller steering wheel. Seems big to me. My 2500 ProMaster highroof service vans have a smaller steering wheel.
