Go for a model with AWD or even a different vehicle. For your use and location AWD is a no brainer. Will your wife be driving it? Would she like to switch the drive modes back and forth?
Not saying the TRD will not work, its a matter in inconvenience.
Thanks for the informative and valud response. I completely understand OEM not being the correct term.
FYI, the M5 is in my top three favored vehicles.
I seem to remember a thread that summarized that OEM, Toyota, is ādifferentā. Even if the core manufacturer is the same. No idea but if Toyota parts are not too much more in cost, Iāll get them.
Eco mode, no mods. OEM wheels and tires at 33psi. 87 gas from Costco.
I have the air dam on too. Looks great.
No magic and do not drive old man style. I do drive smart, anticipating braking, no accelerating just to brake in the traffic ahead.
I my 4R has returned this mpg since new and its...
Its been this consistent from new. I run in eco mode 95% of the time. No mods. OEM wheels and tires at 33psi. Drive at or above speed limits, within reason. Anticipate breaking, etc. Not driving like an old man yet š
i run 87 costo gas. I use a chevron fuel system cleaner 300- 500 miles before...
Iād focus on why you get such poor MPG. I have the non-hybrid. 24.3 mpg mixed driving, mostly in city. 26 highway. When I fill up at Costco, the range is showing 400 plus or minus 3 each time.
I know, it's not a 4R but, I stonrgly think the advice given is appropriate. I know this will not sit well with the folk spending $xxxx on mods or the sponsoring vendors but still, its a very valid point of view.
I looked at the sellers site on the mirrors. Not sure if price is for the pair or one? Is it just driver side or can you do both?
when selecting options, do you have to state what you have now or will all work in say an SR5. Buy the capabilities and the existing wiring in an SR5 will support...
I wonder if the dealer is proposing a break replacement due to the TSB for break squealing. I doubt it.
i have been waiting 3 months for the dealer to get the parts! Maybe all the break parts are being sent to the OPās dealer to do unneded work š
wouldnāt a reputable dealer question the need...
Yet another Rookie error by Toyota. It really does seem they rushed this vehicle out.
I suggest that the quality of Japanese built vehicles has dropped.
I had a 7500 trailer until recently. My main tow vehicle was also an F35. Heck, the Ford did not even know I was towing, lots of power.
Anyways, I used to tow the trailer with a Polaris 800 ATV. I added two wheled jacks on the frame to support some of the hitch weight and was able to move it...
Andā¦. Manufacturers spend millions trying the quieten the running noise of a vehicle.
I guess the older some would say wiser you notice these things.
Now, if we are talking about a Ferrari, Porsche GT or RS and a McLaren, I might understand wanting and desiring mor ālook at meā engine noise...
