I agree about the windshield wipers. The 5th gen was fantastic in the rain - good visibility. The 6th gen is very frustrating in that the driver's side wiper doesn't sweep far enough, pulling water into the driver's line of sight.

I’m trying to recall if the limitations of the wheel position and entry/exit existed in the 5th gen. It would be helpful to sit in one and compare side by side.

I would fluid film the frame. Cheap insurance for salty climates. You can likely find a professional near you if you don’t feel like doing it yourself.
