As it would happen, I was recently forced to buy new winter tires for my SR5 (265/70R17’s). My choice was limited (no pun intended) so I got BF Goodrich’s T/A KO somethings.
So I planned to purchase plain steel rims from Toyota that will accept these tires and fit my new Limited. I’ll bring my...
Thank you so much for explaining the differences in a language I can comprehend.
I recently moved into a rural and wooded area and as a result will be spending the majority of my driving (time-wise) on highways that in the winter can and is a mix of loose, packed snow and icy sections. It is...
Thanks much. I wil apologize up front-I am not an off-roader and not knowledgeable of all the mechanical verbiage. I say this because I thought 4WD was all wheels are driving, all the time.
I have had my SR5 for 15 years and have engaged the 4WD many times and understand its capabilities and...
I have watched that video a couple of times and frankly I’m quite confused and more importantly concerned about the Limited’s performance on the rollers’ tests.
I am expecting to take delivery of a Limited next month and cannot fathom why a vehicle that is supposed to be full time 4WD cannot...
That is concerning. I too got the call from my dealer recently that the 2025 Limited I ordered in June has been allocated and expected to arrive next month (Feb.). When he said that I’ll be getting a 2026, as expected there is a price increase but he said the truck now comes with the digital...
That looks really sharp.
I have the same model on order with a delivery eta of just over a month from now.
i wish I had the tools, skills and know-how to do what you have so successfully accomplished.
Great job!
Good to know.
I have not driven in ECO mode since the first couple of months of ownership back in 2010 and likely might not again except for long highway trips, but I will remember this bit of information for sure.
thank you.
Thanks very much for the feedback, in the positive.
I have a Limited on order and just recently received “notice” from the dealer that my vehicle has an eta of early February. If it arrives then, it will be 8 months from when I put my deposit down.
I have a question for current owners, specifically regarding the performance of the AC and heater. The temperatures in my area can fluctuate from -20 C to -40 C (-4 to -40 F) in winter and as hot as +90 F in summer. How well does the heater and AC work in the 6G?
Even though my 5G is 15 yrs. Old...
The dealer told me the restriction of Limited row numbers was due to the Canadian market size being smaller, i.e. not large enough to support both versions. Sounds like crap to me. Makes no sense when they (Toyota) can’t make enough, fast enough to put any on dealer lots anyway.
It appears to me that it’s Not just the top panel, covering the cubby, though I’d understand why. I thought the same until I noticed the tie-down point near the bottom of the side panel that is visible in to upper photo and not in the bottom one.
I have a 3row Limited on order that will have the...
Sorry. Yes I am using the stock OEM wheels with both the summer and winter tires which are 265 70R17’s. Those rims will go with the SR5 when it is traded in, but with the Limited I had already decided to buy seperate rims for the winter tires.
I have a question for all you tire/wheel experts on this forum.
Here’ s the situation. I am currently waiting for my Limited to ship (receive delivery) but just this past week I was forced to buy a new set (4) of winter tires for my 5G SR5, 17” rims. If my Limited arrives before spring switch...
For someone that is still waiting for my 6G order to be allocated, if I’m reading these posts correctly, can the modes be changed while in motion at any speed or do you have to stop or at least slow down to a certain threshold?
