Another vote for MT Baja Boss, also adding Nitto Ridge Grapplers. My husband runs Baja Boss on his 3/4-ton F250 and we were thisclose to putting them on my 4runner. They throw rocks a bit and we live in the country with a lot of gravel roads, and we all know how delicate this damn paint is, so we went with the Ridge Grapplers for me. Extremely similar in a lot of ways, including looks and ride quality, but the channels are a tiny bit narrower/shallower, so tossing up gravel pieces is a bit less of an issue.

I'm not too sure about that one, I lease a new car for the Mrs. every 3 years and never had an issue with OEM tires before albeit they are not offroad vehicles but I've never had to replace any within 30K miles on them.
Sure they will last 30k, but compare them to non oem versions and you will see the difference.

Regarding my OEM, Stock Michelin TX Trail "All Terrain" tires, what does all terrain really mean when a small rock can pierce through the space between the middle of treads and through the steel belt to puncture the tire? It's not like the side wall got pierced, this was right in the middle of the treads.

I think that tire only comes with a 10/32 tread depth to start. Most AT tires are at least 13/32 and more like 15 or 16. Maybe even 18. That and the tread pattern might result in more risk of a puncture.

Those Michelin's are more geared for MPG than offroad. That's probably why they are on the hybrid. Even the Falkin's on the non hybrid are only good for gravel roads and nothing more. To all the haters that said you should have aired down; I'd have to disagree. There is no need to air down on a gravel rood. They are smooth enough it's completely unnecessary and a inconvenience to air them back up. Your just increasing the risk of getting a flat by exposing the sidewalls to rocks. Even driving on gravel roads, I'd get rid of those Michelin's. They are basically highway tires.

Yes, thanks. Again: what does "all terrain" really mean?

Yeah good question.

It has been suggested to replace my OEM Michelin LTX tires with Toyo AT3 tires. (2025 4 Runner ORP) Anyone have any experience with these tires? I would appreciate comments & other alternatives

Havent replaced them yet since this is the wife's ride and she doesnt take it offroad, but I will be putting on Mickey Thompson Baja Boss when these wear out. I had them on my GX460 and they are the best AT tire I have ever had, and I have had them all.

My offroad rig is my 2026 Tundra and my KRX UTV and I am putting the Baja Boss on the tundra in the next couple weeks.
Wait so you have a off road rig.... but dont have the mickey Ts on the off road rig even though they were the best AT tire you ever had on your rig.
Toyota OEM tires are knock off junk. The Pro's toyo's have some of the weakest sidewall's I've ever seen and were replaced within 2 weeks of purchasing the 4 Runner.

Gotta be completely honest, I always wanted a 4 Runner because of the quality and reliability, I'm not completely sold on the quality part so much anymore.

.
FUN FACT: Toyota doesn't manufacture tires bro....
Toyos have been junk for awhile now hell i had a 08 4x4 2500 and toyos were failing back then. BFG k2s and 3s are what i put on that truck and 1/2ton 4x4 truck after. I did feel the E rating in the 1/2 ton truck. Here in Texas i guess I go off road every time i drive to my ranch. The road is county maintained caliche road(its not off road and cars i mean small cars drive it at times(you can tell who got lost). BUT its hardly OFF road. Now driving around my ranch i did slice open a side wall on some Cooper ATs, the rock roads of the ranch are a mix of caliche and granite/jasper/flint rock. So i switched to E rated tires for the sidewall protection. I don't think i would but E rated tires on a 4runner due to the weight alone and the ride being stiffer.
I'd go with BFG KO3s the mileage ive got out of these is ridiculous for a AT tire.

My two cents to the op regarding these Michelin LTX tires and getting a flat!

I would call that just bad luck.
I have the Michelin LTX trail tires, and the most off-roading I have done have been on cow trails. In the seventies we would take our Datsun pickup trucks and go off-roading with those all around Lake Elsinore with bias ply tires, Loaded down with camping gear, firewood and lots of ice chests:)

My next set once I wear these LTX Michelins out, will probably be some Nitto's.
I can't even give these LTX tires away, so I'm just going to burn them down,
Then replace.
Tire technology is good these days, stick with some good name brands .
Some are just quieter🫡

Thanks so much. Everything you've said mimics my thoughts and conclusions on the matter. My future tire plans look exactly like yours.

Perhaps you missed the part where I have a SXS?

Thank you for the comments, my 4Runner is nothing special.
I just have the All dogs off road 2-in coil level and pro wheels with Factory stock LTX Michelin Tires.
I had to go low budget and the whole deal cost me about 450 for the level and alignment.

Very happy with all dogs off-road. Their coils are great, and for the rear I used Apache polyurethane spacer 3/4 inch perfectly level now.

But that's what I wanted I am not fond of the stink bug or the Tijuana tilt look.
Great day!
