Well I don't normally give cars a name, but when I sold my RAV4 hybrid to the girlfriend after only having it for one year with less than 8k miles on it! .
She said I was nuts to sell it, although she got a pretty good deal!. Then after she saw the new 4Runner and me fiddling with it.
She says...
My dealership guy didn't even know what it was! And after mentioned it he said he would check it out. I did my own research with other dealerships and they said no it doesn't come with it.
I suspect at the Port they might or might not add one depending on who's doing the prep!
Mine did not...
Yes I totally agree, some of these builds like a drawer systems! Can get very heavy and that's not loaded up with gear.
And the list goes on of added weight.
I tend to build from the suspension up, meaning the type of driving I'm going to do and what type of off- roads I'm driving on.
I did...
This being my third 4Runner, I seem to be puttering along with my build items and reflecting back to lessons learned from my last two being a 3rd and 5th generations.
I'm holding back right now waiting for Bilstein to release their shocks and struts. This should give me options on the height...
Yes thanks for the images,
I do see the hybrid does have a difference in the step down in the transfer case plate.
Looks like in the photo the hybrid version has two significant step down areas, and the non hybrid has a very shallow step down with just one significant.
My orp comes with a...
Just my two cents and it can just be a temporary carry. A simple roof basket can hold a tire and recovery equipment.
And where my thoughts go is the roof basket can also be a temporary, so you don't have to have a full-time heavy roof rack 24/7.
Hey that's a nice build coming along pretty well. I was wondering why you put on a wheel spacer? Was it just to push the wheel out a little bit because of your Westcott lift? Thanks in advance
I could absolutely give two craps, I wasn't even the one who started this post. I just commented a few times in a positive way so I don't know where it's going any longer I am staying out of it.🤠
I'll chime in again! I agree totally, "form follows function".
My fifth gen Trail sport had these odd looking Wagon Wheel wheels! I had to find a better option, so I went with the method carbon black wheel, I think it was called the "grid" it was a good looking wheel, I chucked the dunlops as...
I don't want the complete pan, I'm just looking for the short Transfer Case skid plate.
I called the dealer today and spoke with service department they had no clue, spoke with the parts department and he said if Toyota made a specific part number for it it means that there's something that is...
Hello,
does anyone know if there is a real difference between the design of the hybrid versus The non-hybrid Transfer Case skid plate? OE part number is 228-35 247 for the hybrid and 35248 for the non hybrid.
They both look exactly the same? Thanks in advance
I like both!, I'm going to stick with my silver trim, I find them fairly novel right now. I had all black methods on my 5th gen and got tired of them after a while. Rubber dip coating is easy, but another Forum poster just added a link to some overlays.
Hey that's a great idea, I was thinking just taking some matte black rubber paint like they sell for the wheel dips. And just painting the edges, but I personally like the look! I had method all black wheels on my 5th gen and I got pretty sick of them after a while, these are a little novel for...
I had method Wheels on my 5th gen, and they were about as fake as you could get.
I personally like this look on the wheel.
I have seen many stock styles that are all black. But "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"
Just put on some meaty tires and you will look fine!
My 2 cents is put...
