Do any of you guys with squeaking brakes have a hybrid? Just curious, as I THOUGHT hybrids would do regenerative braking and not touch the actual rotors when backing out slowly from the garage. I've only got 1100 miles on my 26 Platinum, but so far, so good. Keep us posted.

My SR5 had the front brake squeal fixed twice since July 2025 and now back again in the last couple weeks since 2026 new year! I live in southern CA and park my car in garage most of the time. Plan to have it addressed in the upcoming 10k service or may be sooner if it gets worse. About the door rattle, I had the same problem on my driver side and complained to them at the 5k service a couple months ago. The rattle disappeared after the service despite the dealer said that they didn't do anything in that regard!
I'm at 21K on a Trailhunter and still squealing. After reading your post I feel like it's futile to get the TSB done... I told the dealer at 2k and the took "note" of it and never celled me back about it. After reading some of the experiences here with dealer issues....F%#$ it, I'm used to it now.

I have to say that when I did a desert trip last month and fine dust ended up everywhere, the brakes started squealing in forward for about a day after. I was already out of the dirt and in the streets and it was LOUD! after the 8 hour trip back it when away.....

In my experience : no regen in reverse. Squeal happens backing out of parking spots/ garage.

March 20th squealed at 50 miles still doing it today at 6k almost a year later. If the tsb doesn’t fix it No advise anyone will give you on here will fix it. Not even the dealer.

Mine have been squeaking in reverse since about day 2 of ownership on my iForce Max. I haven’t even tried getting the TSB performed since that doesn’t seem to fix the issue. At this point, it has really soured me on trading my perfectly good 5th gen for this. I really like everything about it but the brake squeal is really starting to sour me on this as my long term DD. I’m already considering alternatives but haven’t found exactly what I’m looking for so far.

I was in the same thought of thinking. But do the tsb it doesn’t cost you anything and it might work. But if it doesn’t yes it sucks I traded in a perfectly fine 0 problem 2016 4Runner and now this. But there are no alternatives worth buying i can even think of. Not interested in used, or a LC and don’t even want a Lexus GX.

Has anyone been able to determine whether this only applies to a certain trim level, certain wheel size, etc. Just seems so odd that so many have it but others, myself included (so far.....), have no issue.

Been tracking this issue from the beginning and don't recall ever seeing that it is trim specific - I think I've seen EVERY trim mentioned as having it - just many specific vehicles don't.

Mine started at about 1800 miles and was bad for a while. Dealer did not have parts but after some back and forth where the initially said they would not do anything the service advisor said the service manager gave the OK to do it. But then I never heard from them again. At this point, like others, I'm living with it. It seems to be less pronounced than when it first started. I have one more dealer oil change that I will do at 20K (will be second dealer oil change and 5th overall) and I'll bring it up then and probably have the TSB service done just for grins. If it comes back, so be it. Its a little annoying but not something that makes me think buying the vehicle was a mistake. To each their own.

Got the TSB done at 2k miles. Currently at almost 10k miles and no brake squealing. I guess it depends on your dealer.
