Ok folks I am happy to say there is another TSB update you can view at the
https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls?vymm=2025%204runner
released May 19th that now includes ROTORS. Good luck and god speed to you all. If you got your shit done before 19th and it still squeals this will probably fix it if...
Yea they are all refundable until you want it back and have to fight them to get it. If you can deal with that then all good with a deposit. I’ll never give them one but maybe I just have a better selection as I have about 4 dealers within an hour of me so calling every week worked out
Whatever you do don’t fucking put a deposit down. Keep calling local stealerships like weekly eventually you will find one. Took me a month of non stop calling March 2025 to get mine
Tell them if they have any tundra or sequoia kits available you will take one of those and they can keep yours when it comes in. Sometimes they have extras because for whatever reason they owner didn’t come back
Are the parts actually on back order or they playing games telling you the kit is on back order? Cause the parts are
The same as the tundra minus the rotors but Toyota sends them to the dealers as kits with everything in 1 package so they enter your vin and a kit gets sent to the dealer...
Don’t put second hand parts on a brand new vehicle. Jesus have some self respect for your 4Runner. Don’t ever tell her you thought about given her second hand stuff. Sorry for you all selling them. Just my thoughts.
Same site your at. There are two for Feb one says it’s no good use the other.

That’s a lie unless they’re looking at an older tsb. There are about 5 of them listed for brakes. I’d complain to Toyota brand tell them the dealer said it expired after they got you scheduled. Watch how fast they call you back to schedule it.
Depends how you drive. Me naturally I don’t like loud sounds so when I hear it I subconsciously slam and let go of the brakes so I am backing up super super slow or if I am pissed I’ll just throw it in reverse and not hit my brakes at all until I turned hoping nobody is coming down the street.
My only issue with the whole thing is not alerting customers before purchasing this could be an issue. Had I know ahead of time I might have held off buying one. Theres no way Toyota didn’t know about this before hand. Since they don’t deem it a a safety……
I don’t think so. It’s probably about money. The tundra since 2022 has had the issue, when do you think they would learn to start applying grease? Rotors cost more money than pads. It’s simple. It would cost Toyota millions of dollars to probably just change out the rotors being put on factory...
Think about how many vehicles are affected. They have a tsb for every one of their vehicles on the tnga-f platform except the tacoma.. not sure how the Tacoma got out of not having brake squeals. But don’t expect any real legit day one fixes from Toyota until do a refresh or redesign. The tundra...
I still don’t see where his rotors got replaced….. the list provided of what the dealer did shows no rotors. The tsb doesn’t show rotors.. I mean shit if you got them replaced good but they aren’t doing it cause of the tsb.
