Has anyone had the TSB completed for the squealing front brakes in reverse? My local dealer ordered parts in December and I haven’t heard anything yet. They say the parts are still on order.

In my case, yes. When I brought this issue up when I took mine in for service at the end of May. The service technician said that they had to verify it. It was verified, parts ordered. Was told there was nation-wide parts shortage. So I am patiently waiting.Did the dealer have to verify the squeal for you all before they agreed to order the parts under the TSB? Mine wants to verify it (which is outlined in the TSB) before they will go ahead and order it. My ORP just does it in the morning when pulling out of the driveway so the service tech isn’t going to hear it.
If it does it in the morning in reverse only it will only get worse. Take it in and let them basically put it in reverse and back up 3-4 times they will change the pads.Did the dealer have to verify the squeal for you all before they agreed to order the parts under the TSB? Thats not on toyota thats most likely on your state and dealer.... Im in Houston literally just called a dealership and asked about the TSB for 4runners brakes in reverse. Was told bring it in and we will confirm and start the service...I asked about parts and he said they have the pads in stock...I am waiting too. Only took it in a month ago but, told minimum 4 month wait. Not good customer service by Toyota (again).
Yes, I had to leave mine with the dealer for the day to verify the issue before they would do anything. It's a well known issue across multiple Toyotas (I was told Land Cruisers are by far the most common) and my dealer knew exactly what to listen for and when it usually happened. If you have a video you record of it on your phone that can likely only help.Did the dealer have to verify the squeal for you all before they agreed to order the parts under the TSB? Which dealership in houston was this? I went to joe meyers and the service advisor said the sound was. normal. I then told the advisor that the sound is not normal. They said they would order some brake pads but it's been almost 2 months now and the parts aren't still in. I'd like to see what your dealership says. Thank youlIm in Houston and had the TSB for brakes done in May while i took it in for a oil change. They just swap out pads and shims. They had the brakes fixed and oil changed in 1 1/2 hrs.
I see some of yall are in Alaska and Washington which makes sense yall would have supply issues.
They didn't but I just show them a generic video on YouTube & here (search for it, there are plenty lol) to save the hassle & they took care of me.Did the dealer have to verify the squeal for you all before they agreed to order the parts under the TSB?
