I love the utilitarian scheme of my SR5, but would also like the upper door panel to be a little more plush. I don’t mind the plastic dash top because I could buy a dashmat, and I am not resting my arm on it whilst driving. Does anyone offer a replacement door skin top?
Ordered these and received them yesterday. They are very well packaged. Shipped all the way to Alaska and undamaged. They thought that one through. Instructions are clear and appear to be well made and sturdy. 30 minutes to install even at -18° in the snow.
I made a quick stop this morning and when I got back in and started the engine, it didn’t connect my phone so I did the volume knob reset and low and behold it worked. Thank you!
Buck’s video nailed the explanation however when you hop out to grab something at the end of your driveway and close the door it will beep 8 times at full volume at 5 am. That’s a personal choice I guess.
When I leave my house, my phone is still connected to my house wifi, so I have to connect to the “smartphone” that comes up. Then I have to go into settings and “use apple CarPlay” on the screen. Other days it’s seamless. Some days I will hop out and hop back in and it won’t reconnect no matter...
I noticed that when I remote start the vehicle and open the driver’s door by grabbing the handle, with the keyfob on me, I reach in and hit the brake and press the start button to normal start it. If I jump back out to open any other door or hatch, even with the fob still with me, they remain...
Haven’t driven in rain yet. Bought it in October and it’s been snowing ever since. I did have a silverado that would collect water while driving in the rain and upon slowing down to about 25mph, it would sling water up on the windshield all at once. Surprise! Usually after the wipers were off.
Has anyone found a keyfob cover that doesn’t have the ring attach to the “emergency” key? I am nervous about the fob accidentally detaching from the keyring and not realizing it’s gone. I keep seeing ads for replacements but unsure if the ring attaches to the fob “body” or the slide-out key.
One issue I have overcome is my phone will be connected to my home wifi when I start the 4Runner and wont connect until I select the wifi “Smartphone” that the toyota uses. Make sure smart phone is in auto join and home wifi is not. Still have to cluck the “use for carplay” toggle sometimes.
Could someone who has these Tyger steps put a tape measure from the ground to the step surface, or better yet from the door entry to the step surface? My wife has limited mobility and I need to make sure it’s suitable for her.
So I got an Amazon gift card and bought some Muslogy mudguards. The instructions suck and I don’t want to spend any more time out in the cold than necessary, so Im wondering if anyone has photos of what they look like installed. I have questions of bolt placement and such if anyone can help. Thanks
