  1. Mountain Bikers, does your rig fit well inside?

It will fit if you lay it down with the seats folded, but it might not be the easiest to get a heavier E-bike in and out through the back.
  2. Should I get a cot or air mattress?

Even if you take out the rear seats there will still be the foot wells you’ll need to cover before you can use a mattress in it. A cot is a lot easier IMO and you get storage underneath.
  3. Running Boards - Toyota OEM or aftermarket

I'm a big fan of my stock ORP running boards for this reason as well. I was initially planning on taking them off asap when I got the 4Runner, but after a year of driving on forest roads almost daily I only have one small scratch from a rock that arced around the boards and hit the side. That...
  4. Preferred exterior car wash products & method?

I’m a big Griots fan these days, seems to hold up as well or better than some of the more expensive products Iā€˜ve used in the past on my BMWs and is cheap and easy to find. I used to ceramic coat all my vehicles too, but I stopped with our last two cars. I know I’ll keep my 4Runner fairly...
  5. Air Filter - Where to order online

If you don’t care about getting a factory Toyota one, there’s a few bundles on Amazon that include the cabin filter for $30. They fit great, work great, I have no issue recommending them.
  6. Noise above 30mph

So far so good. It's weird driving now without that constant squeaking I've been hearing for the last year. :)
  7. Upgraded 18 inch black rims, wrong spare tire, and cleaning wheel wells/liners

My '25 ORP came with those black wheels, and the spare matches them.
  8. Bluetooth connectivity improved?

I’m in the group that never had issues with my iPhone and the 4Runner, it always connects reliably and quickly.
  9. If you designed the 2027 4RunneršŸš™, what’s the one thing you’d change?

Don’t know who that is but I’ll be cautious walking around my block at night should the name ever change to 5Runner!
  10. If you designed the 2027 4RunneršŸš™, what’s the one thing you’d change?

I’d call it the 5Runner to make it just a little better.
  11. Cold air when AC is off?

It doesn’t always display auto when the temp is higher than your setting. It’s in the manual too.
  12. Hissing noises at low speed and rpm

    Fixed! https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/threads/noise-above-30mph.6880/page-2#post-153396
  13. Bearing-like noise

  14. Noise above 30mph

Just wanted to update everyone who's been having this same issue. At long last after almost a year to the day, the issue is finally fixed. I hope :) The dealer needed to keep the 4Runner for a few days to get a recording of the noise, and were having trouble actually hearing it again. Asked...
  15. What's the single best upgrade you've made to your 6th Gen 4Runner?

I moved the seat back to make it a little more comfy to drive, even found some buttons on the side of the seat to make this easier to do. Highly recommended.
  16. Do you have a vibration in your 4R? Dealer having issues diagnosing? (Blaming tires?)

To rule out the needle bearing issue put the 4Runner in 4 hi and it’ll go away. Just fyi for those trying to diagnose, dealing with this myself with a front left noise issue.
  17. Bug Shield / Hood Protector -- pros and cons?

It really only protects 5-10% of the front of the truck so I’m not sure what the point is personally. The black grill above my license plate already has three cracks in it from large bug hits, so….
  18. 6th Gen Owners: What's one thing you'd change about the Truck?

Try running in Sport Mode, it sounds counter-intuitive but I actually get my best mileage in that mode (when I drive the same way as the other modes).
  19. Can someone give me a quick education?

The biggest issue with the hybrid is that you lose a good portion of the truck space on those models, might be an issue if he needs to haul a lot of hunting gear into the field. Extra torque would be nice, but the non-hybrid ORP is no slouch either when it comes to power. 4Runners are still in...
