  1. Rumbling Noise from Rear of Vehicle

I’d check to make sure the spare tire is secure too.
  2. Widow Door rattle / vibration source when playing music and how to actually fix door rattle permanently

You need to remove the window guide and cover the top of that with something, just adding sound deadening to the door panel won’t fix the rattle.
  3. Trailhunter vs. TRD Off-Road Suspension 🤷🏼‍♂️ (Ride Quality, Stiffer, Rougher)?

I drove both the ORP and TH before buying, and to ME the TH suspension felt a little bit stiffer than the ORP. The dealer said the TH was created to be ready to accept more weight for accessories people add when overlanding (rooftop tents, internal storage, fridge, etc), so the suspension over...
  4. Toyota OEM Rear Recovery Hook (Part number # PT974-89251-03 and PT974-89251-AA)

This is what other people here recommended to me: https://store.arbusa.com/snatch-strap-17-500lb-arb705lb/ They also have a soft shackle for a decent price.
  5. Tie-down straps for cargo area - recommendations?

Stratchits. https://www.dometic.com/en-us/product/front-runner-stratchits-pair Used these with my Tacoma all the time, works great.
  6. How to maximize buying experience at dealership?

Tell your sales person before it arrives that you don’t want anything added that you didn’t agree to ahead of time. Mine tried adding a crappy paint protection package for $1000 after I put the deposit down for our agreed amount. Got them to remove it, but it’s a tactic a lot of dealerships do...
  7. Questions on fan blower - air not blowing strong?

It's the opposite in my ORP, turning off the rear vents increases the air flow up front.
  8. Brakes squeal horribly backing out of driveway each day

I brought this up with my dealer, and they specifically said that I had to wait for the 4Runner specific kits to arrive. Even though they also admitted the parts are all the same. My dealership is the only Toyota dealer within a 3 hour drive, so they know people aren't going to go elsewhere...
  9. HVAC Performance

I find it works great in summer and winter, especially if you're lucky enough to have the heated/vented seats. Those make a huge difference.
  10. Interior Rattle / Vibration

Also, while you don't NEED them, I'd recommend getting some car panel tools to make popping some of them plastic fasteners a little easier. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_126CR3NGL/Bojo-Trim-Panel-Tools.html
  11. Interior Rattle / Vibration

Here’s a good thread with info on how to fix the rattle with pics and such: https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/threads/widow-door-rattle-source-when-playing-music-and-how-to-actually-fix-door-rattle-permanently.7703/ Just did this a couple weeks ago myself after the dealer refused to address the...
  12. Chainsaw recommendations?

The Ego stuff is great, I've had no issues with any of their yard tools and always been impressed with how hassle free they are. The batteries last a lot longer than you would think.
  13. Gap below rear door letting snow/mud inside — normal design or missing plug?

My ORP came with the factory running boards, and even after driving and horsing around in the snow for hours this morning (pic below) I did not see any snow inside like your pics. The factory boards are great for this FWIW, I don't get any snow on the side of the truck with them. Maybe just a...
  14. Brakes squeal horribly backing out of driveway each day

I’m just jealous some of you have been able to get the TSB fix done multiple times, I’ve been waiting months for parts to even get it done once. Mine was dead silent the first 1000 miles, but now that I have 6K miles it squeals EVERY time I back up regardless of incline parking, temps...
  15. Should I remove the "4RUNNER" badge / lettering from the rear liftgate?

I took all the badges off as well (do this with all my vehicles), same day I got it. I like a clean look, and while not the main reason I did it, It’s easier to wash and apply any coatings or sealants. Very simple to do, took me 5 minutes. If you’re thinking of doing it, sooner is better than...
  16. Running board recommendations?

I've been happy with the stock ORP running board, low enough for my wife to easily use but high enough I'm not worried about snagging them on anything when off-roading. Bonus points for how they help with rock strikes on the side of the truck when on forest roads.
  17. Power Liftgate Question

Yes, you also need to trick the tailgate into thinking it's closed or else the lights will stay on. Some people say their lights turn off after 20 minutes, but that's not what happens here sadly.
