I did a 800 mile road trip at 500 miles or so. I kept my speed 65 (which is only like 2k rpm) or less. I varied me speed here and there for passing and breaks. ÄŽ
Then… I read a thread like this and couldn’t decide if I made a mistake or… it’s a Toyota. What’s done is done. 🤞
sorry I missed this… I am a novice. So…
Detail/wash
Claybar (most important part)
Polish (basic 2 in 1, just to get the luster)
Ceramic coat
I try to garage it for 24 hours. I have used a few of the off the shelf products. Adam’s is pretty easy. Gyeon is the fav of many detailers.
FWIW, my SR5...
I have had a good experience with it. I do think that detailers overcharge for it in most cases. If they’re doing a technical product that requires heat or special curing practices I suppose leaving it to a professional makes sense.
Otherwise, I think the sweet spot is a three-year DIY product...
Toyota ships the TRD pro without the air dam. There is no special treatment of the fender liners on that trim.
Also, just do it yourself. My 12yo son removed mine.
I haven’t seen a definitive answer if the 275/70r18 will work on the SR5 without a level done. With the offset on the TRDP wheels it’s been fuzzy (for me). So, I’m waiting to see folks try it out.
btw, I think the 265/70r18 already looks great.
I’ve noticed something similar. Maybe the same. I assumed it was wind noise. The sound persists when the car is on or off throttle. Most noticeable at 35mph. Tapers (or get drowned out) around 55mph. I can still hear it even when costing in neutral, which should rule out the drive line.
I am...
Does anyone here have their air dam?
Tacoma folks have an issue. They talk about a hum though.
**Someone needs to record a drive by to see if you can hear it from the curb
SR5 here. Yes, at times it can sound tonal. There is a drain hole at the front of the muffler I find that to be the culprit. If its cold, you can cover it with your finger for a second... If hot, you'll want to use something else (and, don't stick anything to it).
This setup makes a ton of...
It's silly but easy thing you can check...
You could try covering the drain hole in the exhaust. It's hot, so don't use your finger. That hole can get harmonic almost especially when vehicles are new with the filings in/around the opening being fresh.
The resolution is to file/sand the...
