Ive noticed between here and people talking about MPGs on the facebook groups, please reset your trip average.

A lot of people complaining about low MPG when the truck is new. Who knows how long the truck was idling for at the factory and that alone would tank your average MPG without you knowing.

For those who want to know trip MPG (as opposed to average MPG since the last reset) you can change that in the meter settings in the gauge cluster. I do this on mine and consistent get 24 mpgs when i cruise control at 65mph

We were averaging out around 21 before airdam, 20.5 after removal. Adding 3/4 roof rack and 40” light bar on top brought it down to 19.5

I just set a new mpg record. I saw 25.3mpg per vehicle reading.
Non-hybrid, Eco Mode, 65-70mph, tire pressure 37psi, air dam on and follow my buddy in his motor home. Probably some advantage from drafting. I was going west toward Cali on I8. Fairly flat. Final at destination was 24.5…

The highest I have ever seen on a trip average was 30 mpg going on the freeway with slight overall decline going towards sea level.

The 4Runner is a thirsty beast. If you drive it the way it is supposed to be driven it won’t be shy.

ORP with 1.25” level, Toyo at3 285/70/17, trailhunter roof rack. Lately I’ve been running 89 octane (only 87,89,93 available in my area). Lately I’ve been getting about 17mpg. Last tank was 16.4 with about 50/50 city hwy. Don’t love it. That paired with the small gas tank, I’m at the gas station a lot.

Here's my first 3-months. You can actually see the huge drop after the 35" wheels/tires got installed after the first month.

Mpg on the highway drops off at 72mph imho. I run premium cause I feel like it. The cost diff here is only a few bucks a tank.

3500 miles so far. 80% low speed highways (55 mph speed limit). Eco mode. 22.5 overall since new.

I reset the MPG display every fill-up, and it’s interesting to note that the display is very close to the actual MPG, within .2 MPG!
