3500 miles so far. 80% low speed highways (55 mph speed limit). Eco mode. 22.5 overall since new.
I reset the MPG display every fill-up, and itās interesting to note that the display is very close to the actual MPG, within .2 MPG!
This may be an unusual situation...I have the 18ā black TRD upgrade wheels on my ORP. The thing is I hate black wheels. Yeah, I know they are āinā now but Iām kinda old. Iām considering painting them with a 2K metallic charcoal/gunmetal wheel paint.
Has anybody done something like that with...
Man those tires and wheels look so sweet! I like that they arenāt all black. I donāt get the appeal of black wheels, even though mine came with the black TRD wheels.
Well Iāve looked at so many different brands, I confused myself! I donāt think AVS has theirs out yet. Sorry about that. Iāll just wait a while and see what develops.
I've only ever installed the AVS ones on previous vehicles. They worked fine but are a bit thinner than the WT ones. Now I'm having second thoughts myself. May go with the devil I know, the AVS.
In case you were waiting like me, Weather Tech now has the window visors for all 4 side windows. https://www.weathertech.com/side-window-deflectors-toyota-4runner.html?year=2025&source=int&wt_settype2=Dark&wt_settype=FrontRearSet&ymmSearch=true
Um yeah, I knew that. My screenshot shows the mileage from my Frontier (traded in on the 4R) and my motorhome, both much worse than the 4R. I guess I was just sneaking in a little brag about the RAV and how well the PHEV maximizes the MPG. ;)
I may be all alone on this hill but I hated the styling of the 5th gen 4Runner (and 3rd gen Taco). Enough that I wouldnāt buy one, but eagerly awaited the 6th gen. Toyota hit the styling out of the park, and it drives great, too! Great choice, OP!
Thanks for this write-up. I did mine this week, nice upgrade. The next day I did my wifeās RAV4 Prime in about half the time even though itās a slightly more difficult install.
Yeah my brain is weird that way. Always trying to organize and plan, whether itās necessary or not. š
Iāll have the Hele Outdoors sleeping pad in a few days, look forward to trying it, and will report babk.
My 4Runner is gas, I canāt really address how well it would work in the hybridā¦.my guess is about the same, but I donāt know for sure.
I did not order a pad when I ordered the Helebox, I wanted to make sure it fit well. I have since ordered the Helebox pad. I will update this thread when I...
I've been asked to write up my experience setting up the Helebox (https://heleoutdoors.com) in the 6th gen 4Runner.
I ordered the Solo Helebox since I'll be camping by myself. They also have a double wide one that should fit in the 4Runner if you need the additional area.
Helebox components...
