I like the t bolts over the t nuts because you’re notscrewing a bolt towards the rack. Plus you can use the bolt as a handle to insert and remove from the rack. I used a t nut and it was a PITA to remove without a magnet

The TH rack uses the same factory mount holes that all trims have. Youll need an M12 and T40 to remove. If you remove the rack, youll expose the mounts to rain and water. If you silicone them up, might be a PITA to remove if you decide to install roof rails or another rack down the line
