Yeah you might as well clean all four of them while youāre at it. My worst one was after driving through a clear water stream about 24 inches deep and 50 feet wide. It had a sandy bottom and by the time I got home, the brakes were making so much noise that I had to remove all four calipers and...
I was going to suggest getting an old Jeep and putting tires, lift, lockers, and winch on it for serious offloading. Not sure if thereās any vehicle with stock tires and no lift would make it through that puddle. Been there, done it both ways.
by the way, if you notice your brakes start...
I started it, plugged everything in, and then turned the vehicle off. With that load on it, probably 1000 W, it would start up and run for about 10 minutes every half hour.
Our power went out for a couple of hours and I ran some lights and a freezer off of the 2400 W outlet in the back of the 4Runner. The engine would start up now and then to keep the battery charged, I assume.
this is a 25 hybrid. I havenāt seen anything that talks about generator mode.
Drove approximately 13 Jeeps of various sizes/shapes over the past 50+ years from WWII military surplus to modern models. Most were weekend warriors, modded with winches, tires/wheels, lifts, lockers, etc. Took them mudding, rocks, etc., rolled a couple, put them right side up and drove them...
This is my first 4Runner and I have no complaints except I think the brakes are a bit squishy. I know thatās a fairly technical term, but I seem to have to push harder on these brakes than just about any other car Iāve ever owned. My Tahoe weighed more but stopped much easier.
Iāll get used to...
Last daily driver was a ā16 Jeep Wrangler Willys edition. Drove a 4 Runner for a week and decided it was more civilized.
Traded in the Jeep, bought the only red 4Runner on a lot within 100 miles. Hybrid. First Toyota, no regrets yet.
So maybe you can explain to the crowd how so many millions of engines have survived to this point without some kind of engine saving attachment sold by snake oil salesmen.
Besides, burning oil in a very minute amount has no effect on the vast majority of the engines in cars today.
If you want...
I agree completely with the above. Iāve had many jeeps, Chevy Tahoe, Chevy four-wheel-drive trucks over the years and this is exactly what I do with them. I will put it in four-wheel-drive high for a mile or two down a straight country road doing 40 or 50 miles an hour. This helps keep the front...
Actually, I have, small turbo engines like the ones in the four Runner. Large high-performance engines may benefit, the manufacturer of the kits certainly benefit. There are tens of millions of small turbo engines that have put on billions of miles without benefit of these kits and seem to have...
My wifeās Honda CRV does exactly the same thing five hours after she shuts it off. Never noticed it on the 4Runner, but then again, I park it in a detached garage.
A bit over 3000 miles, 87 octane, today is the first day this year that It was over 70° and I got 23 miles per gallon, 40 mile trip. No freeway driving, mostly county two lane roads doing about 50-55. Noticeable improvement over the cold weather mileage.
I have used Stihl saws for many years. Recently bought the small 12 inch battery
Model. Lightweight, cuts great, good for about 8 to 10 inch limbs or logs. My brother has a Makita brand that also cuts great and he uses the batteries on his other hand tools.
Yesterday was unseasonably warm, record warm as a matter of fact, 70° and I drove about 30 miles. When I got home, it said 23.1, personal best so far.Iām thinking outside air temperature makes a big difference for these short runs, 10 miles or less. Yesterday was all surface roads, no freeway.
