We went camping in the high country of AZ at about 7700ft elevation near the Mogollon Rim. Great weather during the day but the night dropped to below freezing so when we got up it was quite cold to get things started. We were testing several things we bought for camping to see if we would like...
I am! Currently at 5420 on ORP Gas and I am doing an educated estimate on my future additions and I predict 5800 when all is said and done. Even if I get to 6000 I will be happy with the extra headroom.
BTW, those hybrid batteries eat up more than 300lbs right off the bat.
I have them install all their stuff themselves. I have noticed that any issues are usually the installation portion that goes awry. They know exactly how its supposed to be installed and they have yet to fail me.
I also try to buy things from shops that are willing to install their own work...
Life is way too short to deal with companies like this. Every company should take lessons from Westcott. They have figured out that quality products, customer support and customer loyalty is the only thing that matters.
I went with the Westcott kit but with 17" wheels and I am at 315/70R/70 (34.5", so like a guy I always round up to 35"). no trimming at all, crash bar still intact and all stock mud guards are still there with no rubbing (looking to upgrade for deeper and wider ones though).
BTW, my "Are you towing?" alerts seem to be gone with either park assist or back up brake turned off. That one also drove me nuts since I have a hitch swing out spare tire holder. That one was also a random one and not just at start-up.
Yeah, they are very random. My parking assist and parking brake only come on once when I start the engine. CC always comes on when I start it and I turned off lane assist cause that one was driving me absolutely MAD! It wasn't that good since if you have a soft grip on the steering wheel it says...
That Marlin 1895 45/70 is just gold! That is my next acquisition.
Right now, for deep off-road trips, I am carrying an AR10 and a Remington 870 18" with deer slugs.
The warning goes away with a simple press of the back button. Everything on the new Toyotas goes away with a back button push; CC, CarPlay GPS turn-by-turn, etc.
It is annoying as hell but I have gotten used to it. I guess it's the nature of the beast with new tech cars. Darwin alarms need to...
it most certainly does have it. I hate wireless CarPlay due to the lags. The wired connection is lag free but does that the glitchy audio when using maps.
