Hello group,

I have not been able to find a TRD Pro locally (to test drive). I was able to drive a TRD Off Road, and felt the on-road ride was quite harsh. Has anyone driven both? How does the TRD Pro compare (on road)?

Thanks in advance!

Check the air pressure. My wife’s Limited rode rough too. Rode a lot better after I let 20psi out of the tires. ?

Over inflated tires seems to be a trend when people pickup their 6th Gen, mine was.

Hey there. I have a Pro and it rides like a dream on the road. There are three different suspension settings, with one being the softest three being the hardest I believe. I prefer two and it is pretty awesome. I have no complaints at all.

I bled around 5psi from my ORP tires after I took delivery of the vehicle. At low speeds the road feedback is lot more than when its 50+ MPH. Drove at 80+ speeds for long duration and the ride quality was just great. Also on gravel and trails it was awesome.

I'm running 285/70R18 E-load BFG KO3s.. It rides horrible, but I dropped the PSI to 33lbs and it's better. Certainly not a dream. After hearing about the suspension mode adjustments features on the TRD PRO, I'm now curious and want to know more.

Very curious about this. Can you please give us a little more? Is the setting a button, or is the setting electronic on the digital gauge cluster? If it's on the gauge cluster, could you post some photos of where the setting is? I know it's a PRO thing... Want to do a little investigation on this.

Thank you kindly.

Thanks for posting that photo. That's not what I was thinking. I was thinking it was something that could be adjusted inside the cabin - maybe something buried in all of those settings. I want to drive a PRO now to see how the different rides feel.. Can't wait to ask the sales person about this, and then have to climb under there myself to change the setting for the test drive.

Bro.. you put the stiffest sidewall E rated all terrain 10ply tire on a 4runner. You usually put E rated tires on heavy duty trucks that haul and tow large amounts of weight... That is why you have a horrible ride now.
I had BFGs KO2 and 3s on my 08 3/4ton cummins and loved them also helps with sidewall cuts and scrapes i used to deal with. I also put them on a 1\2 ton 4wd chevy and i could feel the weight and more noticeably the ride got a lot rougher due to the tires to the point shocks wont help. Those are solid tires Im just not sure the need for E rated tires on a 4runner.

Unfortunately, most popular tires for 18" wheels in aggressive size are E-load.
