Fumoto Oil Drain Valve for 6th gen 4Runner?

Here's a video where he claims 1 cup excess oil is left with the fumoto on vs if you take it off.
I was almost going to buy this but I think Ill stick to the old method for now. Either way should be ok.

I watched a YouTube video where they tested various types of oil drain solutions and it showed the Futomo doesn't let the crud on the bottom of the oil pan drain. I'm curious what people's experiences are with this.

I saw similar videos but the amounts left were inconsequential and really didn’t amount to any big issue. Just looking at the shapes of oil pans, it’s pretty obvious that not all of the oil comes out. Just my humble opinion!

Fumoto valves are great. Made in Japan. I installed F133N. Super easy to drain the oil through the opening of the Rival 4x4 skid plate.

Hi, which size did you end up getting? Maybe it's the same as the 5th gen, but not 100%. The website only has options up to 2024.

I just went to the website to check. There wasn't a hybrid option available, so I just went with the 2.4 4-cyl option and got 4 products:

I have the F133N. Holds better the drain tubing. Still plenty of room above the skid plate. F133S works great too. It has a shorter nipple for more confined spaces.

I have a question for those using valvomax

Are you using the metal washer with rubber gasket that came with the valvomax,
or something else ? I am wondering about how robust that 'screw it down once and
leave it permanently' washer and gasket is....

Installed the F133N for the last 5k miles and today discovered that it's been leaking and collecting on the skid plate. Anyone else had issues with this? This is my first failure with a Fumoto product in the last 15 years running them, so I'm very surprised.

I install Fumoto on all my cars. Never had a problem. Either wasn't tightened all the way or the gasket was defective.

Installed Fumoto Valve F133 during the 1st DIY oil change 8 months ago. Since then, I performed 2 more DIY oil change, and see no issue. No leak. Oil out & filled were exactly as factory specs, 5.9 qt.
