My dealership was 14 miles away and offered a free Lifetime Powertrain Warranty. But he had nothing I wanted. 85 miles away the dealership I bought from did not offer that type of warranty, nothing extra actually. I asked them why I should drive that far for nothing. He later called me back with...
Yikes! I feel for you brother. Beautiful color. My brother lives 1,000 miles from me in Texas, but coincidentally we both both new 4Runners at about the same time. He traded in his 2006 Avalon with 51K miLes on it in perfect condition. He got $3K for it and the dealer kept it (naturally) and...
Actually it was Toyota in California that has the final say in warranty issues, as the lady told me. I spelled out everything for her to understand especially the part that I towed a lot and needed good protection. She was gone for a bit asking her boss I’m sure, but came back and said, “No...
I don’t mind doing it but since it’s free for a while, I feel safer letting them do it. I figure if I do all of my service there, (I have a really great Toyota service department), and I ever have issues, they will not be able to blame me for anything. Taking the advice of the Car Care Nut...
Well, I will post again after I drive to Tallahassee tomorrow for Turkey Day. Then, of course I will be driving back the same way, Interstate about 90% of the way, cruise on 75, no more. Hopefully we’ll learn something. Surely by then it will change.
Actually, when I put it in gear and pulled out of the gas station, it doesn’t show anything for a few seconds, then the number appears so I was already moving. Curious what makes it know that the tank has been filled up actually. I’m Miss something I’m sure. Lots to learn on this new vehicle.
I wonder if I made the correct decision to buy the non-hybrid model as I am retired and plan to tow good distances for fishing trips from now on. After all, it is still just a small 4 cylinder engine and I wonder if it can take this strain over the coming years. My 5th Gen V6 was just ok, but...
I just drove 550 miles one way towing my 3,500 # boat at 70 MPH. Got 11-12 MPG at best. I used Tow/Haul all the time. I actually think that this is the culprit that reduces my mileage but I know I am supposed to use it, right? Any thoughts?
Yes, I get that but I took a recent 100 mile trip, got 24.5 MPG then when I filled up the next day, the meter read 232 miles to empty. That makes zero sense. Taking a 200 mile one way trip tomorrow then buy gas. Should be interesting what is says next.
Drove a 2023 5th Gen Limited with only 26K on it. Wonderful vehicle. Wish I could have afforded both but happy with my
TRD Sport Premium, Yesterday on a short road trip, I managed
24.5 MPG. Impressive!
Mine has the old fashion prop rod which is a pain. Does anyone know if there are aftermarket struts that can be put on relatively easy? Hood is pretty heavy for this old man.
Just traded my 5th Gen in for this new one, mainly for towing purposes. My boat weighs 3,500 lbs. and my 5th Gen would pull it, but it did struggLe a bit. So far, this new one seems much better as I use the Tow/ Haul mode. Anyone know if I have an engine oil cooler or a tranny cooler? Appreciate...
Hello there guys and some gals I’m sure. Took delivery of my new 2025 4Runner TRD Sport Premium non-hybrid on September 27, 2025. Traded in a 2023 4Runner Limited. My main reason was towing abilities. I am retired and fish a lot. My boat weighs around 3,400 pounds and even though that is under...
