Do the front struts come fully assembled with springs and the top hat or are they just the shocks?

We are not currently offering an assembly option. OEM replacement tophats are currently priced at $220/ea from the dealer and there aren't any aftermarket options yet. This would require us to have a $500 assembly fee which is far too expensive, it would be cheaper to have a shop assemble for a customer locally.

When the price of tophats comes down or aftermarket options become available we will offer assembly.

Thats good news! After Bilstein R&D used my ORP Hybrid for testing, they gave me a timeline of May/Early June for delivery to install the 6112/6100 + UCAs. Hopefully sooner than later now that part #s are showing up!

Will the 5100s fit a TRD Sport RWD? Bilstein is listing them for 4WD only. @alldogsoffroad
Thanks.

I am going to get bilstein 5100 in 2 days
Will share my experience and ride quality after installation
Definitely keep us updated! I just got 6112/6100s and I’m hoping I won’t be disappointed.

Just curious, can you run the 5100's up front (as a leveler) and keep the stock ORP shocks in the rear? Or best to do the 5100 rears as well?

You can do either or, but you will have best ride quality to match front and rear.

Thank you for the reply. Would you know which is better between the following? Again, appreciate any help!

Stock ORP shocks with Westcott 2.5/.75 kit or 5100 front/rear? Overall ride quality being the measuring factor.

Preload spacers are not going to change the damping characteristics of a shock. If you want to modify ride quality, shocks will be more significant.

Preload spacers are an aesthetic modification.

Agree and 100% understand that. I guess a better way to phrase the question is, do the 5100's offer an improvement in ride quality over simply adding the preload spacers to my factory suspension.

The answer is yes. Preload spacers do not change / improve ride quality.

Just thinking ahead and looking at the install docs for both 5100 and 6112. The circlip lift height chart for the 5100 lumps LC250 and all 4R trims together. In the 6112 docs, they differentiate LC250, hybrid 4R, and gas 4R — the latter two having pretty significant differences at lower circlip levels. I assume this is because of the beefier strut and spring combo? Is the 5100 really giving the same amount of lift for all 4Runners, gas and hybrid? Based on what I've seen elsewhere, I thought there would be a ~.5" difference between the two.
