I've been looking at switching to this one or this style. Can you leave anything in it when you close it? My bushveld II fits 2 pillows and my deflated exped without issue and would like to keep the same.
Wheels and tires are down the line a few months, but I'm leaning towards your same setup, but in matte bronze. Had the KO2s on my Silverado and liked em, so might as well try out the KO3s.
They say every 36k miles, mine was probably closer to 30-32k miles that they would start squeaking. That's with 10-15 trips, 10-15k miles every year. Even when they started getting loud, performance never dropped, so that was cool. With heavy or aggressive off-roading, they suggest even earlier.
I can't speak to the OME lift, but I did have an Icon stage 3 kit on my Silverado. Loved them but did have to get them rebuilt every 2-3 years depending on how many trips I took. Their performance is great though; was able to fly down dirt roads fully loaded without issue. Decided to go with...
They didn't give me any additional information on the control arms or their heavy duty rear springs. But everything is installed and it rides way better than stock in my opinion. Once their springs are released, I'll be switching to those as it gives 1.75" of lift which will give me some rake...
Looks great! Just got mine back this morning with the 6112/6100 + UCA combo. Now i gotta figure out which wheels and tires I should get. Mine ended up being 2.5" up front with 1.5" in the rear. Pretty much level, with about 1/4" rake still there.

This is almost exactly what Bilstein is installing for me as we speak, but I'm running the Readylift 1" spacer in the rear. Happy it'll be level with a little weight in it.
Thanks! Here are a few more from that set. Once its back from Bilstein, I'll be able to get it dirty and get some off pavement pics. Photo Cred: @Seenbyjay
😂 I asked to see if I should keep mine mounted or take it off. They specifically asked for it to be as close to stock weight as possible so they can get correct measurements.
Will keep you posted. Pickup date is now set for tomorrow and I'll have it back in another 2 weeks. Also got a little tidbit from them today. They will be testing out heavy load springs paired with the 8112s while they have it this time. No release timeline for the springs though.
Once its back...
Bilstein used my 4runner Hybrid for their fitment and testing back in December. They offered me the 6112/6100 combo with UCAs for letting them use it for 3 weeks. It'll be going in next week for install finally. Not sure if its specifically the B8 UCAs or if it's a different model, I just know...
I haven't experienced this at all, but maybe more miles will tell. My daily commute is less than 5 miles round trip, just did a 5k oil change and had no fuel smell and was not overfilled. Been 3 weeks since the oil change and no increase in my oil levels.
Im getting the 6112/6100 kit installed with dobinson C59-885V springs soon. The fronts will be set at ~2", are extended sway bar end links required for about 1.5in-2in of rear lift? I don't see anyone mentioning they installed them with their lifts
Setting cruise control at 78 from Los Angeles to San Francisco and back got me a trip average of 19.9 calculated at the pump... Sounds like bringing the speed down some would help. Westcott Low-pro rack and no air dam. Brought the total average MPG at 5000 miles to 17.4 on Fuelly.
Looking to sell my OEM roof rails and crossbars off my ORP Hybrid. Taken off at about 600 miles when I upgraded to the Westcott Lo-Pro. They are in excellent condition. Asking $250, local pickup only. Located in Redondo Beach/Hermosa Beach area. Picture is from when I removed them. Can get...
I didnt get any specifics, but he did say they would hit the consumer market after the 6112 kits. Which reminds me... time for me to reach out and get this stuff scheduled for install!!
Thats good news! After Bilstein R&D used my ORP Hybrid for testing, they gave me a timeline of May/Early June for delivery to install the 6112/6100 + UCAs. Hopefully sooner than later now that part #s are showing up!
