I'm not sure about you guys but every passenger that gets in my truck has no idea there is a grab handle hidden in the A pillar and for good reason, it's completely invisible when getting in, a horrible design that leave my shorter passengers looking confused on how to get in or clawing around aimlessly. I got this idea from our taco brothers and applied the idea our trucks. Perhaps not the cleanest fitment but it is functional until a bespoke 3d printed piece comes out.

So I got this paracord handle and mounted it under the oem handle reusing the same bolts and location, tools required will be a plastic pry tool and a 10 mil socket. Install time is 5 minutes, It comes in black, blue or red.

Yup. She's clawing away blindly. Between that crappy handle and the odd-height running boards, it's her biggest complaint about the truck.

How snug is the paracord under the plastic trim? Did you have to do anything cutting to make it flush?

its as tight as you make the bolts, it doesn't rotate or move but it is not quite flush unless you want to cut the plastic which I did not.

Mine too. What an idiotic design. It is just as bad or even worse on the driver side. The handle above the door is not useful for boarding the vehicle. My 3rd gen has a nice handle on the driver side in the mirror position to the passenger side handle and it is a pleasure to get in. This is awkward.

Yup. My Tundra has full handles on both sides. I use it every time I get in and out, so do my wife and kids.
