Yea. I ordered a roof rack but they never ship them. Went through my cc for chargeback. They are a Chinese company but use fake US address & phone number on their website.

I received 2 items from my order. I had to email them to inquire about the status of the A-pillar handle, and they responded.
It's on backorder until September, so I opted to wait for it to ship, and they're refunding me $10 for the inconvenience.

it would be extremely hard to refit a grab handle. you would have to alter the airbag under the A pillar to do this since there is no mount points to attach a grab handle to.

until toyota modifies the A pillar to accommodate one. i personally dont like the implementation of the passenger handle myself. i prefer the open grab handle of old times than a cup style grab point.

There is mounting point for it. The top hole is already threat with M6 bolt. The second hole (bottom) you will need to purchase an M6 U clip bolt nut for it. I figured out and re-engineered that A pillar yesterday. I am waiting for my handle bar comes in and install it. You will need 2 small spacers and longer M6 bolt in order to make it perfect.

Two small spacers will help the long bolt to stay in place solid. These spacers will go under and behind the plastic trim.

You will need to drill two holes on that plastic trim (of course one you took it off from the car lol).

I am an perfectionist and I was able to figure out how to make it looks functional, solid and as close to OEM looks as possible without getting raped by Lexland product for 168 bucks plus tax with a copy and paste designed that still doesn't do anything.

Any as for airbag interference. No my method will not interference with the air bag. If you open your A pillar you will see the direct arrow of where the airbag deploys if it deploys. The direction is along the driver's side window not in front and across the windshield.

The distance between the two holes from one center to the other center is approximately 7.25 inches.

I will post pics after my handle comes in and install. It is solid. I tested it out already. In fact with my method you are now have unlimited options of what kind of grab handle bar you want to have as long as spacing between them from center of each hole is 7.25 inches plus few mm.

All entrances to the 4R have grab handles except tge drivers side. Not sure why, maybe your supposed to grab the steering wheel. Please enlighten me.

Are any Toyota or after market grab handles that would work and blend in.

After a long research and planning out I was able to install a grab handle bar on that A pillar driver side. Yes install directly into the A pillar metal frame pre existing holes, not the plastic A pillar trim. It won't interfere with your airbag at all. If you open the plastic pillar trim you will see the direction of the airbag WILL deploy just in case and it deploys along the driver side glass window. Not in front of the windshield.

I will post some pics once I am done with it. I am waiting for my handle at the moment. I already did the hard part. Located and prep a solid mounting point directly into the A pillar metal frame.

Here it is. Two solid anchor points to the A pillar frame, not the a pillar plastic trim. Now the possibility is endless. It doesn’t interfere with airbag deploys what so ever. Of course the process to make this is a solid anchor points will required drilling of the plastic trim and spacers under the plastic trim.

Yes. They are all sucks. They are all operating their business of taking from Peter to finance’s their RDs and inventory. As simple as that. Oh well American suppliers ain’t better neither especially on this forum. They are all together. They sponsored this forum and used this forum as a pipeline for their business operations.

I did my own research and development ended up with away to install a pillar grab handle bar directly into the a pillar frame (not plastic trim). Now I can use just about any handle bars to that anchor point. The entire project cost me less than 30 bucks. Yes my grab handle bar now can handle the load of 500 lbs pull on it. Take that Lexland.

absolutely. It is easy becuase they are identical accept cosmetic. Unless you don’t care than oh hell it is simple as hell. I have OCD here lol so I will leave that passenger side alone. I will install my yellow handle grab bar. Now yellow contrast with black make it looks bad ass. Not to mention it is functional. Not 168 bucks from Lexland that is more like copy and paste shitty engineering.
