Yes. I will be doing that next week for my 5000 mile service. I just wanted to change my oil, as an extra precaution, at the 1000ish mark - post run in. And as soon as the complimentary stops, I will go back to doing it myself - its cheaper and quicker - and I can look at what else the car needs.

While it is the wrong oil and they should definitely be going back for a refund and for it to be corrected, it may not necessarily be the incorrect prices. 0w8 oil is a fair bit more expensive than 0w20. And with all the skid plates, labor can be more to change the oil. For example, my parts package at my dealer is $64 for 0w20 and $115 for 0w8 oil, not including labor(Prices are in CAD not USD).

$254??!! Omg. I have been doing my own oil changes for near 18 years and that is robbery. Oil changes is normally $30-100 here in NY.

Converting our bulk oil price to USD from CAD its only about $40-45 for 5 quarts of oil. Bottled oil is almost double. Dealer oils will always cost more than your name brand shelf bought oils(unless you buy higher end racing oils, specialty oils etc).

In Ohio; Just ordered a 2025 4Runner, and before doing so, I checked with the dealer service department on ALL of their pricing for normal services (i.e., oil changes, coolant drain/fill, transmission services, diff fluid changes, etc.) Oil changes are roughly $80.00 as of today. Just had the oil changed on my wife's 2025 Highlander at 2,000 miles (same dealership), which we elected to pay for. Price = $69.40 using 0W-16 oil at $5.75/quart.

You should demand a new engine. The dealership picked the wrong time to use the wrong oil in such a crucial period of engine break in

on our 23 tundra (7.7 qts 0-20w synth) its was $150 last month. but then again its 2 qts more than a 4R

they did raise the price on the oil, it was like $120-130 on the oil change before

the problem we have is lack of miles per year to even get 2 oil changes per year at every 5k miles.

just hit 16k miles and its taken 2 yrs 5 months to get that far.

did 1st @ 1k, 2nd @ 5k, 3rd @ 10k, 4th @ 15k
