Are all SAE 0W-20 oils full synthetic? Or do you need to look for that versus a blend?
its rare to find a non-synth 0-20w as most 0w are.

only one i can think of right off the bat is valvoline , but they are usually touted as high mileage oils

i guess i was wrong, apparently you cannot get conventional oil to flow properly at 0w to meet standards

standard is -35F temp to flow correctly

the "W" is the winter weight of the oil and the 20 is the summer weight of the oil

Hey, just wondering how many of the new owners will decide to do the first oil change at 500 miles, the owners manual recommends 5,000 and will the warranty accept the first change at the 500 if we wanted to or it has to be done outside at a third part place or DIY?
I had the dealer change the oil on my 2025 SR5 4x4 at 751 miles and will change every 5K miles in the future.

I used up all of my included free new vehicle service oil changes at 1,400, 5k, and 10k mile oil change intervals.

My dealership, Leadcar Toyota in Wisconsin, allowed me to use my oil changes early and were easy to deal with.

The idea of changing your oil at 500 or 1K to remove any shavings is old school thinking. As a few have said, manufacturing tech and oil viscosity has come a very long way. Many manufacturers actually do put in a break-in oil from the factory that is meant to stay in there. Don't get cute or think you're smarter than the engineers who design and build these things. Just follow the manual and save yourself time and money. Not that complicated.
Lol!
