They also made no mention of my sxth element intake and afe exhaust. The service advisor did complement my fog lights and ask what brand they were and I told them they were just vinyl overlay. Left with a clean bill of health LoL! This was Hansel Toyota in Petaluma, California.

my dealer will do a oil change if you ask them. they dont gloss over the fact i do it at 1k or 5k or every 5k. they just know that after 2 free toyota oil changes, i end up paying the dealer cost.

its actually in the dealers interest i do the 1k and 5k since its way before the 10k and start making money off the oil changes :)

I did my 1000 and I’m gonna do my 5000. I low-key didn’t want them to do it cause I can see them spilling the oil all over the rival skid plate but the fact that they lied about the tire rotation that’s where I have trust issues with these dealers.

luckily for me, we have a pretty good dealer. toyota tech wise and oil change techs.

i mean i even had a toyota tech tell me, not point in changing my brake fluid since it had hardly any moisture in it after 90k miles. never mind the $500 per axle brake pads and rotor replacements and labor :)

oil changes i can watch them if need be, its right in the open and no restriction to watch them do the oil changes. i just cant enter the pit area for safety reasons, but i can watch from the back, sides or front of the pit without issue.

and they have no issues if i ask for the old parts, they just throw them in a bag and put it on the floor board.

i did this with the spark plugs on my 2014 4R when i had them replaced at 106k miles. once i looked at them, they really didnt need changing, still had another 10-20k miles left on them even when i used 87 octane with ethanol for 12 yrs. here is a pic of 2 of the 6 plugs.

Dang bro, you have a good dealer!!! here’s another funny part! I just noticed they did a video inspection that the tech said that my cabin air filter is in the yellow, and also my engine air filter is in the yellow. I don’t even think he popped the hood and even noticed that I had the. Sxth element!!!!!

I always marked the tires in a hidden spot and see if they actually rotate them or not.
you should definitely brought these issues up to the management.
I didn’t notice it till I got home but the passenger side tires had heavy dirt marks, and they never asked for my key for the wheel lock. But I really didn’t worry about it because I bought the certificates from America’s Tire so I’m gonna go there to have them rotate it.

Same happened to me. I was already there for a different issue, they installed my front plate crooked.... Completely missed the dimple they were to drill into.... They said they rotated the tires, but one had a big ole X on it I couldn't scrub off and that tire never moved.

I just did my 5000 service as well, I made them change the oil because it's ridiculous to wait until 10,000 miles. If you tell them to do it they will do it, they just take it off of the free oil change total number.

I get no charge maintenance every 5000 miles/6 months for 4 years/55K miles as part of my Toyota Care contract with the dealer when I bought my ORP Hybrid.

This is where you gave a polite discussion with the GM.

So what did you even go to the dealer for if they didnt perform any service?

This is why I do all my own stuff.
