  1. Trick to get rear hatch close and lock?

How far back? I’ve done that before. Lol do I have to run away? Maybe I need to take to dealership
  2. Trick to get rear hatch close and lock?

I haven’t figured out how to get the rear hatch to close and lock (button on back of rear hatch). The close button works, but the one that also locks just beeps at me. I’ve tried stepping away What’s the trick?
  3. Trailhunter ARB 3/4 Roof Rack Layout and Accessories

I ported my XXL Thule ski box over from my old SUV. I keep a set of recovery boards and a kinetic rope in there at all times. Just drove 3 other friends for a big ski trip… loaded up the rear with gear + ski box full with 4 sets of skis and 2 boards. Only wish there were better foot holds to...
  4. Mounting Thule Cargo Box (or similar) on Prinsu / Westcott / similar roof racks?

I have a TH with the stock roof rack. Added an XXL Thule box. I was in a rush, but got it to work without removing any crossbars. That said, I think the box would be happier if I did remove one or two in between the attachment points looks great too! Kind of annoying to get access to it...
  5. Well, that was unexpected

I had the same errors on my TH with 95 miles. Dealer basically cleared the codes, checked transmission solenoid operation, and handed it back… not very satisfying. It’s not great if this set of errors is triggered by many conditions
  6. Another good review on the OTT Tune - 24 Hours in - Worth It (Hybrid TRD ORP)

What if I have a drivetrain issue that’s unrelated… don’t want to give Toyota a reason to claim warranty is voided… had to take my TH in at 95 miles w a hybrid malfunction… not convinced it won’t come back…
  7. Front & Rear Bumpstops Upgrade (brackets from LC250 / GX550 are direct bolt-on)

Any idea what’s ideal for the Trailhunter? Thanks!
  8. Does the iForce Max Hybrid system change from engine to battery less often during specific weather or feature conditions?

I wish there was a way to change the hybrid logic… IMO, it should be charge on every brake, and help accelerate all the time, down to some battery percentage. I think there’s a lot of energy not being harnessed
  9. Trailhunter detachable steps?

K, got a set of four of the 7” wide steps. Glad I went wide. Overall I like them! exactly what I was after for an easy to remove step option. They feel pricey for what they are though. time will tell how they hold up… will not be worth it if they start degrading.
  10. Extra oil for off-roading?

Sorry, I meant engine oil! good stuff on the vents though!
  11. Extra oil for off-roading?

Do you all recommend running extra oil for off-roading, especially for steep angles? How much? I have a new truck, and haven’t touched the oil so far
  12. How does it work... hybrid 12v + Alternator

lol, nice music It seems the alternator is only used with a hybrid malfunction… makes sense (Side note: I’ve already had a hybrid malfunction on my 100mile TH… it did indeed hiccup and then start working again… not sure how much this played in)
  13. How does it work... hybrid 12v + Alternator

The manual notes the hybrid system powers things entirely when in ACC/READY (Eg. For car camping). The engine will occasionally fire up to charge back up. But the manual also doesn’t seem to note the alternator 12/14v, 450A seems unlikely from an alternator…
  14. How does it work... hybrid 12v + Alternator

No, I am specifically referring to the models with a physical alternator in addition to the hybrid: https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/threads/hybrid-alternator-amperage.7059/
  15. How does it work... hybrid 12v + Alternator

Hi All, Curious to learn for the trucks that are both hybrid and have an alternator... how does feeding the 12v bus work? - Seems like the output regulators of the alternator and the hybrid bus would fight each other(?) - Or are they used one at a time? How to know when? Thanks!
  16. 4H (4-High) max speed?
