Thanks for sharing! I did this as well and do think it makes a noticeable difference in wind noise coming from the doors.

Went out while it was drizzling to check for leaks, no leaks and it did have an effect on the noise! Great easy mod, thanks!

For science I ordered the oem tacoma one. Not as cheap as the Amazon but wanted to see if it would work. Fits well Ofcourse since it is oem and it’s 3m all the way down.

the front door Tacoma one would fit as well but you would need to drill out the holes as it gets clipped on or maybe 3m it.

Take a look at the link I posted from the taco forum. There’s four holes the 4Runner doesn’t have drilled out compared to the taco, structure is still the same.

Hmm I see, don't know how I would feel drilling holes for the front door gaskets. But I want them..

I just installed the amazon ones

BIG DIFFERENCE (I use Michelin ltx ms2 which is a quiet tire)

-the b-pillar inside transmits noise directly to your ears as
your ears are closest to the B than anything else, and
since it is hollow plastic with a seat belt hole at ear level,
it's sorta like a trumpet and amplifying noise to some extent

this helps deaden some noise from front and rear door panels
because they both press on this heavy rubber strip
and it cuts any wind noise in the crack between them.

I now only hear noise from elsewhere around the vehicle but
right where my ears are, a lot more quiet.

at all speeds an improvement, even 5 mph I noticed
a difference and the faster I went and more cars passing by,
I really see the benefits

on highway I can now hear every subtle
spin up of the turbo at 70-80mph whereas
above 50mph wind noise mostly took over turbo noise

blocks noise from other vehicles around you

these dang $9.99 seals are doing a $250.00 dollar job

it has definite effect on cabin noise
