I don't know this as fact, but have read that the factory sets them high for transport on the ship coming across to North America. Maybe it helps stabilize them during high seas?
Do the trim packages with the auto stop/start have a second battery? My in-laws have a Grand Cherokee and it has a smaller second battery and if you don't use the stop/start feature it will kill that battery much faster than normal which leads to lots of lights on the dash. I now know it is...
While I appreciate everyone's take on whether ceramic coatings work or not...I still am curious if anyone has used the one by Chemical Guys? And I focused on that one because I already have it and am planning on it using it. Basically, wanted to know if I should be taping off the fender flares...
While I don't condone topping off as I too have learned it will saturate the charcoal canister, I do agree that it clicks off sooner that I would expect. That or the fuel gauge shows empty long before the tank truly is empty. I have filled up when the dash says I have 25 miles to empty and I...
I have a Carbon Force kit from Chemical Brothers that I will be applying to my TRDORP. On their website, they list the applications as paintwork, glass, metal, aluminum, and stainless steel...but not plastic. Has anyone experimented with using this specific coating on plastic? I'm hoping to...
Had a good test on the beach today. From 11am to 2pm it raised the cooler from 44% to almost 100% charge all while we were opening it for drinks. Even added a warm 6-pack around 1pm and it kept up with the demand. I’m calling it a win.

I didn’t want to over complicate things by drilling holes.
Not apples to apples for a 4Runner owner, but a really great video to help understand the reasoning behind the recall of Toyota's 3.4L V6 found in some of the newer Tundras and a few Lexus models.
Same. Got them last week and installed a few minutes. Oddly, won't be driving the 4Runner until camping for 4th of July. Worst part is I'll be driving the truck/camper and she'll be driving the 4Runner...and she didn't even notice the air sound before. Hope it helps either way.
I don't understand how it can be made silent. Does is just limit the airflow to low and very low? I mean it already has a low/medium/high. Extra low and extra extra low?

He has a very detailed thread on his installation experience and can likely give you good info https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/threads/ome-mt64-old-man-emu-suspension-w-uca-part-2135k-timbren-active-off-road-bumpstops-installation-review-by-van-solo.9794/
