275/70/18 33" Nitto Terra Grappler tires installed on 18" Factory Upgrade TRD Wheels w/ no lift.

So I pulled the trigger on some 33" Nitto Terra Grapplers tires (replaces the Falken Wildpeak AT3WA that comes with 18" TRD Wheels package upgrade). At first I wanted to go 34" with a 285/70r18 but there were not many options for the 18" wheel. Most were E load and the only nice C load I could find were the Wildpeaks but they are Heavy! 70lbs per tire.

That being said this is my wife's car, I did not want to run the E load or the heavy tire so I chose to go with a 33s and I am happy. It drives very smooth on the highway with minimal noise and I like the way it looks for now but might add a lift in the future.

As far as you can tell, would 34” tires fit without a lift?

Curious how the 275/70/18 size is working on the ORP a month or so later.

I'm curious if they rub off road. I'd rather not add a lift but I like that tire size.

Looks nice. Any rubbing issues? Have you tested them offroad?

Trying to bring this thread back to life, can any users confirm if the ORP rims rub with 275 at full lock?

Thinking of doing the same with the 275 70 18 tires and also would like to know if there's any rubbing issues. Thanks in advance

in my reading and research elsewhere i have found there is no rubbing with 275. Even if you use an aggressive all terrain tire it still clears all wells at full lock.

i was able to confirm this with another post on this forum as well as you tube videos of actual users doing the larger tire.

i was also able to confirm the spare tire well will also hold a 275 with no issues. Anything closer to 285 will begin to see fitment issues requiring alterations to the factory guide brackets.

long and short, after all my research i have confirmed 275/70/18 all terrain tires will fit the 6gen with no rubbing or suspension alterations.

i already have some Falcon Wilpeak AT4M 275/70/18 in my garage waiting to be mounted the day i get my Gen 6. After i do my install i will share my own experience on this thread so everyone can see if it actually works or not.

I also did a deep dive into the 275 70 18 fitment on Factory orp wheels. It was mixed with some saying that there was some rub but not sure if it was on the SR5 model. Others said that there were no fitment issues, While others said they used a backspacer of 1 in to pop the tire out a bit. But in all instances the leveling kit was the preferred method to go with the 275 just for better clearance issues. The UCA is very close to the factory 265 70 18 wheels. So I'm guessing a 275 is going to be right on it and that's a little scary. I am waiting for the Bilstein to release their lift kit then I will advance forward with tires. Meanwhile I am wearing out the Factory Michelin LTX trail tires which are great on the slab. Thanks for your input and good luck with your new 6G. Keep us posted on the 275 size. Yeah

275/70/18 on SR5. I’m running a 1.25” Peak Suspension front leveling kit only. No rub on bumper or mud guards.

Well 285/75R17 are getting installed tomorrow... we will see lol
285/70/R17 will fit no issue. Not sure about that 75 you’re gonna be running. Wait are you running 275 or 285? 275 would be no issue with that 75 you’re wanting to run.
