There was also an article on this. I think the video makes sense. I will probably switch to synthetic 5W-30 on my next oil change. Better for engine wear.

This might work for awhile but it will not last without a healthy hybrid battery. From driving my car for more than 10 years, it will not be operational for long. Just my experience and sharing with others. Thanks.

Got mine yesterday and done. Here you go. Red Tow Hooks Install Install OEM bolts and tighten down evenly. Torque = 87Nm (64ft/lbs) Happy Modding! Enjoy!

Looks great! Did you have to drop the spare tire to remove the oem ? did you use the original bolt or what came with it? Also did you use any of the spacers that came with the aftermarket hook?

Glad I found this thread. My local dealership offered a very well discounted oil and filter change if I brought my Runner in before the end of the month. I couldn't pass it up after reading this! It's there now for its first oil change. Hoping to keep this Runner for many miles to come.
