Guys.

As we all know if we want to take care of our Turbos we need to change the oil frequently, like every 3000 miles. But what is the best synthetic High temperature oil for our Turbos ?.

I was doing some research and it seems that Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0W-20 Advanced Full Synthetic is the best. According to the Mobil's website Mobil’s current Extended Performance line meets API SQ / ILSAC GF-7 standards, with improved protection against pre-ignition/LSPI and timing-chain wear, which matters on modern turbo direct-injection engines.

I also understand that In the U.S., Toyota Genuine Motor Oil synthetic is made/supplied by ExxonMobil — the same company behind Mobil 1. Toyota’s SDS for Toyota Synthetic Motor Oil 0W-20 lists ExxonMobil Corporation as the manufacturer

See SDS here: https://servco.safepersonnelsds.com...ta Synthetic Motor Oil 0W-20 PN00279-0WQTE-6S

Any other thoughts?

Thank you.

Please no. You will not reach a consensus with anyone except oil company marketing departments trying to crown any particular oil the "best." It's also a better conversation for BITOG, but even there you definitely won't reach a consensus.

Any ILSAC GF-6A or newer/better synthetic in anything from [0-10]w-[20-40] is fine, but the one thing almost everyone DOES agree on is don't go 10k mi OCIs.

SO MANY posts about this. Not that anyone cares, but as a rational autonomous adult responsible for my own decisions I'm going with FULL SYNTHETIC 0W-20 at 5,000 mile intervals under my normal driving conditions, sooner oil changes if warranted by harsh conditions.

Ignoring future posts about oil quality, brand, viscosity etc.

Wrong...I am almost 60 years old and have owned many turbos across many manufacturers. The maker knows they put a turbo in your vehicle. Their recommendations for oil change intervals are based on this!
Do what you think is best. But I will change earlier like every tuck, car, boat motor and a shit ton of motorcycles I have had. I never want to see dirty burnt oil when I change.

Total waste of money...10,000 is fine for most driving conditions. My Toyota will last just as lomg as yours doing so.
as i said consensus, not outliers like yourself
