I just use this, https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/...ol-red-plastic-funnel/hop5/10705?q=oil+funnel, hold with one hand while pouring with the other. Have not spilled yet over 3 oil changes with the vehicle and a quart goes in pretty quick.

Given the information you provided, you indicate you're incapable of pouring oil without making a mess, even with a funnel. If pouring oil stumps you, perhaps vehicle maintenance is beyond your capabilities? Open fill port, insert funnel, pour oil, close fill port. It really is just that easy. No pontificating necessary.
