300 miles until fill up which is around 16 gallons, we all know the tank is 19 gallons. Which is about the same miles per fillup that my GTI got which had around a 13 gallon tank. They built this thing so overlanders can carry around their cute little gas tanks on the side!
Well your problem is where you live...not the gas tank! I consistantly get 21 MPG in mixed use driving for the 7500 miles on my SR5. I have never gotten less that 300 miles before it was empty.
Congrats! Glad you found one you liked and are happy with! Your OP threw me a bit about the bad back and SR5! SR5 is arguably the smoothest driving of the bunch and I've had a spinal fusion. I think the 4R will serve you well. I use mine for everything I used to use a truck for...only...
OP...a lot of smart azzes on this forum...but I get you because if you are used to something and train yourself one way it takes some time to untrain yourself. My wifes car has this feature which is ok until she asked me to get something out of her car from our garage and I cannot get in...
I theory this feature is a good thing...until you leave something in your car that you forgot and go out to the garage and cannot get in because your key is not on you!
Actually after reading your reply, I decided to try out ECO mode because in 9 months of ownership, I have never done so. Yes, running it in ECO mode eliminates the low speed gear searching that I have in the regular mode. I guess I will be using ECO mode unless I am on the interstate or other...
Hogwash...i got my oil changed at 1700 miles and the guy said it looked like brand new engie oil. I just did it to be safe but he said it was clean as a whistle. No car maker is goiing to want to damge their reputation by purposely having you undermaintain your vehicle. This is the most...
9 months in not one scratch on the interior doors. Smudges wipe right off. Fender flares are not bad either. Lady hit me in parking lot and left paint on mine. Paint thinner and a liitl elbow grease took it off. Frankly, the plastics in this Toyota are 10 times better than what was in VW GTI.
Interesting...I have seen a few complain of rattles and creaking. Coming from a VW GTI I am especially sensitive to that...because they are well known for it. After 8 months and almost 7000 miles my SR5 is quiet as a church mouse...no creaks at all...unless you put sunglasses in the ovehead...
Mine very much is too, except under certain conditions. In bumper to bumper or parking lot speeds it gets searchy like it dose not know what gear to be in. It is a minor annoyance and sport mode it does not do it, if I choose to spend more money on gas to avoiid the annoyance.
The transmissions tuning would be the only thing I would change. This is just a daily driver for me. It will never go off road and it will only tow to campgrounds with fulll hookups.
Yes...my wife and I both noticed this recently for the first time. Had surgery so my car had sit for weeks without being run. I also leave my AC on recirculate...which probably does not help matters. The harsh shifting is normal for this vehicle before the tranny fluid is up to temps. Having...
