Looks great! Do they provide protection like rock sliders would?

Thank you. I honestly don't know the answer to your question. I think they're more for looks and getting in and out of your 4Runner. I doubt they would provide much true protection like rock sliders would. Probably better than nothing and definitely better than the predator steps, though.Looks great! My wife has these on her white TRD Pro. I like them a lot!Just installed a Black Friday purchase - OEM black cast aluminum running boards. I love the look, especially on an Underground 4Runner. They aren't as fancy as @Everybodyduck automatic running boards, but I'm excited about them. New car honeymoon is still going strong!

Because these running boards are so low profile, I’m wondering if they will offer the same protection.I had a 2012 Trail with the running boards, no sedan could ever ding a door. Only another SUV or pickup truck could do that and those owners must be more respectful with their doors because I never got dinged when parked next to one. Last May, I moved up to a 2025 TRD-Pro, put on the stock running boards and look forward to the same; no fear parking.
