  1. 275/60/20 Toyo AT3s on stock Platinum wheels

The plate is a perfect fit on the frame; it just doesn't accommodate the air dam. I removed mine on day 2. Do you have absolute clearance during full choke with this size tire?
  2. 6th gen owners - why did you jump on a year 1 model of the refresh?

I had a 2020 Limited Nightshade, hated those skinny tires with the undersized wheel wells.
  3. 6th gen owners - why did you jump on a year 1 model of the refresh?

It has been a minute since I last chimed in on this thread, but I have discovered a distinct advantage to buying a 1st-year model that was unknown or undisclosed in 2025. In 2025 a Platinum trim could get the ARB roof rack as a PIO option. They were offering more options for early adapters...
  4. Why did you pick your 4Runner?

And, badass it is! That is the absolute second most beautiful 4Runner in existence. When everyone in the vicinity is wondering who the gifted person is who owns that vehicle, here you come strolling up with the Cheshire grin. I hope the family is excelling in every aspect, and I know you're...
  5. Why did you pick your 4Runner?

The 4Runner has always been the most reliable, timeless, all-terrain, everyday vehicle since its inception. My First was a 1988 Gen 1. Since that time, there has always been a 4Runner in my driveway. As to competition, there is none. A 4Runner built at Tahara is as good as a timeless SUV...
  6. 275/60/20 Toyo AT3s on stock Platinum wheels

Are the wider mud flaps necessary? When you add that LC plate, you will have to remove the air dam or dog-ear the corners on the front of the plate to fit the air dam back on. Love the tire size.
  7. TRD PRO Exhaust Tip Mod (Cut End of Exhaust Pipe)

Your PRO is a beast, albeit without full-time 4-wheel drive. I'm not sure I could climb up into that high-rise man rig of yours without an assist from my auto boards. You're 100% on my pathetic tires, but I'm determined to get a few miles out of them before changing to real ones. I just...
  8. TRD PRO Exhaust Tip Mod (Cut End of Exhaust Pipe)

Are you still banging around in that bucket, wishing it was all smooth and polished and beautiful like a Platinum? I'm not convinced that a pretty tip can ease the pain you feel deep inside. Hope all is well in swamp land, I still want to get out there and mow down a couple of gators...
  9. Toyota 6th Gen 4Runner Wheel Upgrades: A Guide

Nodak, How do you like the wheel and tire size on the platinum? Assuming you keep the wheel, will you move to a 275-65 tire size? What is your preference for tire replacement when the time comes?
  10. No Markup / No ADM Dealers @ MSRP Price for 2025 - 2026 4Runner 6th Gen - List Them

A few posts above, dated July 9, I noted Freemans in Santa Rosa. Agree 100% on a great buying experience.
  11. For Sale: Never Used CaliRaised/OVS 117qt Grey Dry Box- $275

Dan, I live in the Bay Area and am interested in your box if you still have it. However, I wonder if we have the same rack, which might be too small. I have the 3/4 ARB rack that came with the 4Runner. Is this the same rack you tried carrying the box on?
  12. New to the group

You're about to be hooked 4EVER. Enjoy the ride!
  13. Which Drive Mode are you all using for daily driving?

Some of us were born to drive in normal on the daily. I have yet to use anything else, but it is still early.
  14. Do I need rehab?

I had that same addiction, but broke the habit by going Heritage Blue in 2025. There is hope for you, as evidenced by not painting your boat grey.
  15. 4Runner has second best longevity of all vehicles. 32.9% chance of lasting 250K+ miles according to iSeeCars study

Without doing a study or adhering to any hearsay, I can personally attest to having driven a 1988 GEN 1 4Runner to over 400K miles. I have driven a 2004 GEN 4 4Runner to 352K miles. I have had many other makes of vehicles that didn't begin to approach those numbers. Clearly, the longevity of...
  16. My Journey for a new 6th gen Platinum

Aren't we all a Happy bunch of campers now that everyone's got their new truck in play? I don't want to start measuring Johnsons here, but I have a bad ass license plate my own self. Don't make me force it on you.
