UNDERGROUND Photos 4Runner 6th Gen (2025+)

Got one of the first Old Man Emu (OME) kits with Upper Control Arms. Suspension height is set to 3" in the front and 2" in the rear (only coils available right now).

Went with Icon Rebound Double Blacks 17x8.5 +25 offset wheels and some Nitto Trail Grappler 285/75/17 and finally a Westcott Low Pro Rack.

RTT rooftop tent is NatureNest Polaris Plus, mounted using Westcott Designs RTT mounts.

Did a lot of the work myself just to say I did!

Waiting on some CaliLED items.

Ride is better than stock and well, the look? I'll let you all decide!

After a lot of research, this is what I decided to go with for my build:

Method 321 wheels (+25 offset) wrapped in 285/75R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers, and a ReadyLift kit — 2.5” in the front and 1” in the back.

The ride feels smooth and solid, definitely different from stock, which is expected when upgrading suspension and tires. No trimming or modifications needed. The wheels are +25 offset.

Really happy with how it came out. Running boards go on this week — more updates coming soon. Appreciate all feedback!

Hey guys, Names Kevin. This is my wife and I’s dream and first 4Runner! Got it for about 2 months now and we love this thing. Powerful and comfy.

First thing I did, removed the air dam of course haha

Then I added some ditch lights, nothing fancy. Just some brackets and lights from Amazon, and they work great!

Then I found some Fifteen52 Range HD wheels (0 offset 17x8.5) off marketplace that I couldn’t pass! Wrapped in 285/70/17 Kanati Overland RTX LT tires, perfect fit! Just needed to trim the mud flaps to clear full turns.

And then that day, went camping with my friends. And I gotta say, this thing is a beast!
We were able to sleep in it, we just put two pillows and a comforter underneath the air mattress to even it out. And there we go! No need to buy or build a flat top. Haha

Looking forward for more adventures!

Future list: Front Half metal bumper. Not sure what brand yet.

Rear Rigd spare hitch, roof rack (not sure what brand yet) and maybe better metal running/step/sliders.

And a decent Lift, nothing crazy.

Just posting this as I've completed my "budget" build and am turning the page to a new chapter that will not be budget friendly (for me at least). Hopefully this gives someone some inspiration. Yes, I understand this may or may not be "budget" to some, but I purchased everything with a sale of sorts besides the tune. My 2025 Limited in Underground just landed in OR! Signed paperwork remotely, pick it up this weekend. It must be one of the last 2025s before they switched over to 2026 (VIN is 75xxx and I see some 2026 Underground Limiteds at 76xxx).

I have the Prinsu Pro rack, so unsure of the how high the lights would sit above the WD rack. The brackets shown in the photos are the ones that came from BD. I've since swapped them out for ones made by Prinsu and they bring the lightbar lower and pretty much in-line with the roof rack itself. Maybe WD has something similar?

PPF’d and Heat Shield on the Seibon Carbon Fiber Hood

Installed the under hood factory heat shield along with some adhesive backed aluminum heat shield and had the Seibon carbon fiber hood PPF wrapped in clear matte for protection from the elements but I love the way it looks too.

The PPF installer said this was a tough job because of all the different angles. In fact, I need to bring it back so he can finish the hood scoop.

Hope this helps someone who is considering a CF hood.

Finally got around to a road trip in my 4Runner to Southern Utah. It did great!

Wanted to get a lil more aggressive with my wheel and tire set up since I have the 3” SST Ready Lift and still had a couple inches of room to get in my garage…

Replaced my 34” Toyo AT3s and 17x8.5 +25 Fuel Fortress Wheels (For sale in Marketplace)

Added some 35/12.5/17 Toyo AT3 tires and 17x9 +12 offset Black Rhino Rapid wheels.

Even though I went BIGGER and WIDER the new wheel set up is actually lighter (Tires are 59lbs, Wheels are 22lbs)

Pretty stoked on the change
