Anybody retrofitted suspension from a Trailhunter to a TRD? Found a good deal on a full takeoff setup. Trying to figure out what odds and ends I might need to get this bolted up. Also, from all my searching it sounds like there is a small height difference. Anyone know for certain what that difference is?

Thanks in advance.

Bought the set for $1500. This was for the front struts, rear shocks and springs and the UCA’s. Also got the rear panhard bar and sway bar end links but those items appear to be same on the TRD ORP

I thought so too. Now just trying to plan for the install. I must be entering uncharted territory. Cant find any info on the swap anywhere.

I can’t think of a reason you’d have any trouble swapping suspensions, as far as I know they’re interchangeable.

I thought that the TrailHunter has sway bar disconnect and the ORP does not?

I just sent a note to ARB asking about difference between their MT64 and the Trailhunter OME shocks. I also asked for installation guide (will share if it is available - might help you). But either way, you might look at the list of parts in OME MT64 kit 2135. (And at the installation posts on this forum). You might need the brake line spacers that come with this kit. Just a guess.
Please post details (and photos) about your installation. Am looking for others experience before I take on installation of that kit as a DIY.

I disconnected my TRD OR sway bar links last weekend and I don't think the sway bar disconnect on the Trailhunter/PRO (which is at the center of the bar) will have any impact on changes to the shocks and springs. Might need to disconnect links to more easily expand the opening for the front shock (and rear spring?) but if that IS needed it might be necessary regardless of SDM - or would just represent an added step - especially since OP noted that links are the same between the trims.

I just sent a note to ARB asking about difference between their MT64 and the Trailhunter OME shocks.
Really quick answer from ARB:
"The MT64's are a 3in front and 2in rear lift on non-factory lifted vehicles. You will still see a difference in height and ride quality from the stock Trailhunter suspension; however, the height difference won't be as high as a non Trailhunter. You'd likely see about a 1.5-2in increase to the front and about a .5-1in height change to the rear. The stock Trailhunter struts are not preload adjustable like the MT64's are so you to have the benefit of height adjustability from the MT's. The main suspension components are essentially plug and play, so we don't provide instructions for those. However, the more specialty components like UCA's, brake line spacer, and sway bar spacer will come with their own sets of instructions in the packaging. As for dimensions, I only have the open and closed lengths. The MT64996013 is 24.7in open and 19in closed. The MT64601052 is 26.1in open and 16.5in closed.

Silverrunner: in addition to brake line spacer you might need sway bar spacer.

Easy enough. Looks like they are available for purchase separate from the lift kit so going to snag them up. Better to have and not need…you know the saying.

Appreciate you contacting ARB. Not sure why I didnt think of doing that first.
