Side mirror tilt when reversing?

Frankly I'm grateful the ORP doesnt have it...my wife's Acura has it and it drives me bonkers. Now if the ORP had dual zone conditioning!

As as an FYI and from pervious posts in this thread, it is not an automatic thing. You just select which mirror you want to tilt down by pushing the corresponding mirror button, and then it tilts. If you don't want it, you just don't select it. So, no bonkers for you.

I don't have to select any they both do it automatically when i put it in reverse. From what i read if its in the center position it disables it and if its set to right or left both till automatically.

Both mirrors tilt down in reverse on my limited.

Mine also but, I turn it off in the Center cluster screen.

Thanks for posting the You Tube video, it explains what all have been pointing to (no pun intended) in their posts about how to activate the feature of discussion. I have yet to read the manual section on the mirrors.
The mirrors height, size and shape has honestly bothered me a bit, being smaller than the 5G’s and is something I’ve been struggling with. I had my 5G for 15 years and Backing up was always an extension of my hands, Always knew exactly where I was and how much room I had.

Just tried it out. Worked fine. I’ll probably use it in parking lots to see the spot lines until I get use to how much steering wheel movement affects angle of vehicle and till I’m confident interpreting what I see in all the cameras-I’am coming from older vehicle and all the cameras are a bit confusing. Will take time to wrap my brain around where to look when and what I am seeing.

Just played around with it and it’s actually pretty cool. Put it in reverse and then you can set each mirror independently for each other to where ever you want. Then when you go back to drive or park they will go back to original setting and if you don’t want them to till don’t have the left or right mirror selector on. So basically the mirrors have a regular setting and a reverse setting as you will see in my videos. I adjusted them drastically and diffrent so you can see the difference.

My Silverado has reverse tilt mirrors and I love them. Just sucks a little in rainy weather. My 4Runner doesn't have this feature, but when I put it in reverse I get both a rear view and a top view, which makes it pretty easy backing into a parking lot stall. I still get a good view (especially top view) in rainy weather.
I definitely enjoy parking the 4Runner over my Silverado.

I actually prefer tapping the camera button to see the rear tires when reversing.

just note that if you move the mirrors when not in reverse, the tilt down is thrown off, you will have to reset your tilt down reverse settings.
