It has 2 positions. Instead of two positions that have different amounts of reflectivity or glare reduction, one is a normal mirror. The other is a video rear view that uses a camera in the rear hatch to the left of the backup camera. The video view from this camera is in your rear view mirror, just like a digital camera monitor. The image quality is surprisingly good.
