I watched a ton of videos on tires, read reviews, and researched figment with photos. It came down to these, Nitto Terra Grappler G3, and KO3’s. Discount Tire matched the Sam’s Club price on these. They went from $342.00 each to $280.88 each. 👍🏻
Awesome - appreciate it!

Nice. I threw some 265/70/18 E load on yesterday. A touch heavier than your SL. Only 7 pounds per tire. They actually still roll really well considering the weight.

My 26 Platinum came with XL tires...FWIW.

I really haven’t driven it enough, but the mud flaps cover the tread.

If you want to keep the OEM style ones and get a little more protection, you can pick up the TRD Pro Mud Flaps which are slightly wider than these ones to help with the extra width you have on the tires now! Easy swap, I picked them up a few months ago on one those Toyota online parts sales and swapped them out in advance of doing a tire swap same as yours!

Thanks! We really like the wheels, but wanted a more aggressive tire without giving up road manners. It looks sooo much better! I expected the speedometer to be reading about 2mph slower than actual speed. According to the gps, it’s 1mph fast. Weird.
I put bigger tires on my Platinum for the same reason and wanted to keep the road manners too (with the least affect possible on mpg)... went with Cooper Discoverers and the lighter TRD wheels and they've been awesome. After upsizing to 265/70/r18, my speedo, like yours, also seems to be reading faster than actual (3-4% faster than gps), which is the opposite of what it should be. Really wish the speedometer could be recalibrated on these, seems like it'd be very useful for vehicles like trucks and suvs that frequently get bigger tires.
