Been doing actual pump tracking. One small mistake when the pump was not working right.

Setting cruise control at 78 from Los Angeles to San Francisco and back got me a trip average of 19.9 calculated at the pump... Sounds like bringing the speed down some would help. Westcott Low-pro rack and no air dam. Brought the total average MPG at 5000 miles to 17.4 on Fuelly.

Last two fills after adding 275/70/18 BFG KO3 E loads. Trending down, obviously. If I stay around 18 I'll be fine with it.

MPG is so variable depending on conditions and driving habits. I can drive the exact same highway commute which I do 2x per week, 100 miles, and some days I get 25+ and other days I’m in the teens

LOL you’re so right, honestly it’s ridiculous 😆
I have another screen that has all that turned off. I keep the info I want to see occasionally on this screen and then I can switch back to the non seizure inducing page

TRD ORP, normal mode, 70/30 mix highway/city/ 93 Octane, 14.5K miles:

With 67# 285/75 Toyo A/T III on TRD Flat black option wheels:
- Average over ~6.5K miles: ~17.5 MPG (with odo adjustment for tire circumference difference (6.75%)
With 37# 265/65 Mich Trails (OEM) on TRD PRO wheels:
- Average over ~8K miles: ~21.5 MPG.

I've reported these rough numbers before but came here today because my most recent data is interesting and reflects some new conditions:

- Towing ~1500# loaded flatbed trailer - OEM tires ~400 miles: ~15 MPG!
- 870 mile highway trip (VA-GA-VA) with ~10 miles in LO4 off-road - Big tires: 19.4 MPG! (best ever on the big tires)

So towing is rough on gas milage - guess that should not be a surprise. And I guess my observation about the longish highway trip with the big heavy tires is that once you get those heavy tires turning they want to keep turning. almost 19.5 MPG is more than acceptable to me with those tires. (Am guessing that same trip on OEM tires would have been ~22-23 MPG)

Can’t wait for mine to finally arrive, this sure beats the 8-12 mpg I’m getting from my Ram 2500
