1 year May 3rd. Our first 4runner, and Toyota tbf
Pros:
1. Power is always available. Wife loves the turbo
2. Comfort. Probably the most comfortable vehicle we've owned, right behind our F150 Platinum.
3. Physical buttons for pretty much everything. We absolutely hate loathe and despise screen...
Yeah, there are many dealerships that try to add those BS add-ons for thousands of dollars only to give you a very similar dollar amount off which pretty much equates to paying MSRP in the first place. It’s just dealership games to screw the customer. I saw one at Fred Haas Toyota in Houston for...
Install a fumoto valve while you're down there, makes changes and cleanup a non-issue. The two plastic covers are super easy to take off. Access to the drain and filter is excellent. No need for lifts and definitely not a pita.
easiest way to do that is to simply remove the air dam. Most of us already have.
I just received a "Limited Service Campaign" mailer indicating my vehicle is affected. They'll replace the hardware mounting the air dam to the bumper, and replace damaged components (front spoiler) free of...
I don't see the value in this product. It "solves" an issue the Toyota engineers have already managed/accounted for via DI/PI. Why introduce extra maintenance steps or additional points of failure from more hoses/connections, when there's really no need for it? Sure, the engine uses a turbo, but...
Part of the issue of your gas mileage on that trip is comparing apples to oranges with your XC 90. Before runner is always going to get worse gas mileage than that vehicle due to body shape alone. 75 to 80 is also going to eat into your efficiency regardless of speed limit allowances. You had...
I figure any oil is sufficient as long as it’s changed regularly. If you’re using the factory rating 0w20, it won’t make much difference to the turbo if you use the super expensive stuff versus the cheaper stuff. Frequency trumps price as additives will almost always be present at high ratios...
The lady we get ours from has a yeast that's been passed down through the family from the late 1800's... If true, it's amazing how something like that can survive.
this was a trip from Kingwood to the Woodlands on 99 for our weekly sourdough pickup, with some neighborhood driving as well. 99 was 70-75mph. off highway was probably between 25-45mph. Nothing special, just in eco mode.
