Eliminating Toyota's Double Honk

I've searched the setting to no avail. Is there a way to turn off the annoying double honk/beep when you close the door with the fob in your pocket and vehicle running? I don't want everyone around me to look and realize I'm leaving my vehicle while it's still running.

Indeed, but not sure if you can turn off that double beep while the engine is running (I don't see it on the carista site, nor do I remember it when I was turning off all the other annoying dings)

Most annoying feature ever! I know with Ford if you have there Forscan software you can turn it off and Toyota may be able to do the same. Here is what I found on the internet so it has to be true lol.

Double? Mine beeps 8 times. The same beep as the lock / unlock but 8 friggin times. Lets the whole area know that it’s ready to be stolen

Even without the beeps, someone sees you leave a running truck is asking for trouble.

Mine will beep multiple times if something is on the rear seats. It's an alert that there may be children sitting in the back so you don't forget and leave them in the vehicle.

So in my gen 5 I can latch but not completely close the door and it would not beep. Have not had a need to try it in Gen 6 yet.

You can set the number of beeps and the volume in settings.

Does it honk if you use the hidden key from the fob to lock it before you walk away? My truck is at home and i am not, otherwise I could have tested.

Press the lock button on the door while inside...pull the lever to open the door...lock the door with the hidden key...walk away...please come back here to report. I'm dying of curiosity

as stated above carista doesnt have the ability.

now if you can connect GTS to the vehicle you might be able to find a setting within global tech stream to turn it off.

GTS has access to way more stuff than you can do within carista.
