  1. My 2025 TRD Pro mudbath build

I absolutely love the color of those wheels. It is a beautiful match for a Mudbath Pro.Nice work! Are you keeping track of the weight as you add to your vehicle? Rooftop tent, bigger wheels and tires, and maybe an additional skid plate in the future? I know the payload limit is not real high...
  2. My JBL audio system upgrade adventure for decent sound. Review of Trailgridpro set and Beatsonic Encore X.

Thanks for such a thorough write-up with photos to illustrate! I did this same project - just not quite to the level of detail that you did on the soundproofing and final tune tweaking. I have the JBL 12 speaker amplified system. (Actually 14 speakers… the number 12 does not include the...
  3. Transmission & transfer case skids compatible with TRD skid plate?

Thanks so much for your reply. I already tried all that you suggested, removing the brake line from its retainers all the way across the axle housing. But that left the stabilizer(?) bar that is on the front side of the axle housing - and THAT is the problem. I wonder if there are differences...
  4. Transmission & transfer case skids compatible with TRD skid plate?

Thank you for clarifying this thread for both the OP and me!! I guess I should get underneath again and give it another try in spite of the directions admonition which, as Wahoo suggested, I may have misinterpreted as an incompatibility issue. Did you have any trouble installing the...
  5. Transmission & transfer case skids compatible with TRD skid plate?

Not sure what you mean. Numbers are not the same as what? Those numbers are the trans plate (hybrid) that I bought and the front plate for the Trailhunter. (Not sure if OP is hybrid or gas.)
  6. Transmission & transfer case skids compatible with TRD skid plate?

Sounded like Bakutheleo was successful with his skid plate installation. Maybe he can reply again with part numbers for the skids he used and which ORP he has (hybrid/gas).
  7. Transmission & transfer case skids compatible with TRD skid plate?

I have a TRD Pro and bought transmission plate PT228-35247. If I want to install this plate, the instructions tell me I have to lose my OEM front plate and install the TrailHunter front plate (PT228-35240) instead. So I can’t mix the Trailhunter trans plate with the Pro’s aluminum front skid...
  8. Terminal in under-hood passenger side fuse panel

“HV” is the owner manual for hybrid owners. If you have the Pro, that is your manual. I am also curious about what that large terminal post is all about. Watching this thread…
  9. Holy buckets! The trail gets dusty!

A previous thread included the information below. (Apologies to whomever contributed it. I archive comments that seem relevant to my needs, but I am not good about recording who posted them!) “Take my word, not only were the filters dirty but the tube and foam leading down to the fan were...
  10. TRD Off Road Premium vs TRD Pro

Not sure how important this is, but something to consider if you are going to turn around and sell it in less than 2 years… Production numbers for a Pro are limited. My salesperson told me just 3,000 are made in a given model year. Low supply typically increases demand. Dealers sell every Pro...
  11. Great video showing how to remove interior panels (and replace / upgrade factory stock speakers)

This video was super helpful to me when I soundproofed my 5 doors and replaced 10 speakers. I would not have had the nerve to tackle a project like that without some sort of visual guidance. It was so valuable because it showed every fastener that is concealed before you start. However I do...
  12. Holy buckets! The trail gets dusty!

Glad you are enjoying your rig! Off roading. Planning a cross country trip. REMINDER: One thing that is easy to forget is the fact that you have vents on the interior in your hybrid’s cargo area to allow the 400 lbs of batteries under that rear deck to breathe. So when you clean your dusty...
  13. Going Cross-country in my TRD Pro

You said “cooler” but is that an ice chest or a fridge? If it is an ice chest, you may drive yourself crazy trying to keep it stocked with ice for 8 weeks although in the winter months, the ice will melt more slowly than it would in the summer. I would suggest a refrigerator if that is not what...
  14. Installing ‘raptor’ lights on grill (Hybrid TRD ORP)?

No problem so far with mine on my hybrid. Not sure what will happen when the shutters can’t close fully as the leads from each of the lights passes through the opening for the shutter vanes. May be no problem at all? Hansshow SKU: HSTY0016...
  15. Toyota OEM Rear Recovery Hook (Part number # PT974-89251-03 and PT974-89251-AA)

You are welcome! FWIW I have not heard anything from Hoover (yet) on when it will ship. You may have to be patient. Hopefully we can just enjoy the good looks and not worry about getting dragged out of a ravine someday by that brand new shiny hook!
  16. Rigid Fog Lights sale discount price (Selective Yellow Amber SAE Fog Light Kit) - $349.99

Thanks for posting. Disappointing though as I was hoping these would work on a TRD PRO. They don’t - according to the website. I have white Rigid fog lights, but prefer amber. (They also will not fit a Trailhunter, but those OEM fog lights switch to either color so not really an issue!)
  17. New grille Raptor lights installed

If you have a PRO (which the OP’s kit won’t fit) and are looking for a similar Raptor light set, I just installed these yesterday. The 4 lights mount below the “TOYOTA” logo. Be sure you get the “TRD” set (SKU: HSTY0016). The amber color is a perfect match for the DRL amber. (They do wiggle a...
  18. Full Stek DynoMatte PPF wrap + ceramic tint on Black TRD Pro 2025 4Runner

That is a beautiful machine. I never thought of mixing matte PPF with gloss PPF. I think black is a perfect candidate for that creative approach and your rig proves it. (My PRO is Mudbath & PPF’d all over with gloss STEK.) Enjoy your new ride!
  19. Auxbeam RB80 XL Switch Panel install on Hybrid 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium i-FORCE MAX

I know very little about automotive electrical issues, so apologies in advance if this is of no help to you… …but if you look in the owner manual pp.480-483 discuss the 4 AUX switches where there is a switched power source “AUX #5” that is a fifth route. I doubt that provides enough power for...
  20. Toyota OEM Rear Recovery Hook (Part number # PT974-89251-03 and PT974-89251-AA)

Bought PT974-89251-03 from Hoover Toyota. Out the door price $83.09. https://autoparts.hoovertoyota.com
