  1. Building iOS App for 6th Gen (fuel, average miles, and other data)

Very promising! I hate my fuel gauge bar display with 4 segments that my center screen shows. I would love to see more accuracy - as your ideas seem to show. I am curious about the last set of mockups. I’m wondering if the “fuel remaining 13.5 gal” and the “updated now 18.997 gal” displayed to...
  2. Factory (OEM) cross bar labels

Mine are removed so I checked them. The cross bars are labeled same as yours. But one cross bar has an adhesive label on the top surface on each end that says “FRONT” which means that is the cross bar that goes at the front of the vehicle. As for which edge of that cross bar is the “leading”...
  3. Issues with Taco Tunes Sub Harness?

Somewhere in this forum there is a thread where someone who knows a lot more about audio than I do mentioned something to the effect of the feed coming to the subwoofer is actually from the front speaker feed. I don’t hear much bass at all no matter how much I adjust the fade in my JBL system...
  4. Diode Dynamic SS6 kit am I missing something?

Are these going in a TRD Pro?
  5. 4RunnerRGR's 6th Gen TRD Pro Build

Regarding that Cali-LED light bar: …do you still have to have the headlight high beams on to turn on the light bar? …does the amber color on the illuminated light bar match the amber color of the DRL’s? How involved was the installation?
  6. Sound System - 6th Gen vs 5th Gen

Although it seems counterintuitive… to boost the weak sound from the lame subwoofer you actually have to play with the FADE setting and move the sound more forward (not to the rear). Then you will hear more of the subwoofer. If you fade toward the back it disappears completely! And don’t expect...
  7. Is TRD PRO Exhaust axle-back or catback? Photos?

Attempting to send you some pictures of underneath my Pro. No car lift or ramps in my garage, but maybe these will help. 8 taken from rear, then moving forward. And the 9th shot is of the piping on the FRONT end of the muffler.
  8. Rear Ended By Older Lady

HVLA is right. There could be some invisible damage. Try to drop your spare for one. Years ago my Gen 3 was hit from behind by a smaller vehicle and the hitch receiver assembly was pushed in, pinching the spare tire assembly. Fortunately I had a police report so insurance covered it. Not sure if...
  9. Wescott designs promos

They typically have a sale around Black Friday. Watch for announcements in early November.
  10. Remote Connect No Subscription - "live" info still available on app

Not arguing against your point. I understand that’s how capitalism works sometimes. But I have a 22 Ram pickup and a 25 MB Sprinter. Neither of them required me to subscribe for navigation. Certainly their cost for that is built into the selling price of each vehicle. Toyota should have done...
  11. Remote Connect No Subscription - "live" info still available on app

Google Maps via CarPlay is fine… until you are in an area with no cell service.
  12. Can’t Get OnX content to display on dash.

I love OnX. Too bad we are starting to see glitches. I guess it forces us to rely more on the tiny phone screen and downloaded maps than that big 14” screen that I love in my 6th gen.
  13. Remote Connect No Subscription - "live" info still available on app

Well, the disappearing map thing is a disappointing thing. I was afraid that would be the answer. Guess I better brush up on my Google Maps skills. Toyota raises the 6th gen prices AND then charges you on top of that for the navigation feature. That is pretty bold. Guess they figured out that...
  14. Can’t Get OnX content to display on dash.

Thanks! Appreciate the thorough explanation. Now I get it! Have not had enough opportunities to play with OnX on my Pro’s screen to this point so this thread has me interested in one of the frustrations. I am currently about 1,000 miles away from my vehicle otherwise I would be out there in my...
  15. Remote Connect No Subscription - "live" info still available on app

I am approaching 1 year and the expiration of my trial subscription. I too did not want to incur the monthly charge. I was kind of shocked when the Toyota salesman said I had to pay for navigation. (At first I thought he was pulling my leg.) Has anyone seen what happens to Toyota Navigation...
  16. Can’t Get OnX content to display on dash.

If you are asking about OnX offline maps, they save to your phone and you can select how detailed you want them. More detail takes longer to download and takes up more space. And, yes, it is a good idea to check that you have them before losing cell service.
  17. Can’t Get OnX content to display on dash.

OP is on an iPhone. I agree the problem is probably traced to OnX, but it seems to be affecting BOTH CarPlay and Android Auto. Maybe a call to OnX is where a solution will be found. Tell them phone model and operating system - that’s what I would suggest.
  18. Can’t Get OnX content to display on dash.

It might be easier to diagnose the source of the problem if you were getting nothing, but you are getting something. Not sure if it is a Toyota issue or a phone issue or an OnX issue. I would start with contacting OnX.
  19. Can’t Get OnX content to display on dash.

What happens when you tap that diagonal arrow above the amber clock readout? Anything? And then when you tap “Waypoints” etc? Anything? (Just guesses on my part. I am nowhere near my Pro.) Last resort you could contact OnX. There are more than a few newest gen Tacoma and 4Runner owners out...
