I don't have one but might look into it. Unless you have very good electrical skills i would recommend professional install.Interesting. Did you install the Ravelco yourself or had it professionally installed?
I've been thinking about this device or a similar one but I've read people can have electrical issues with them & I also wonder what the usable life of these devices are. I keep my vehicles for much longer than most.I don't have one but might look into it. Unless you have very good electrical skills i would recommend professional install.
"The Ravelco (pronounced Ruh-vel-co) Anti Theft Device is installed in an easily accessible place beneath or flush mounted in the dashboard of your vehicle. A removable 16 pin male plug (which when not in use connects to your key chain) makes all the electronic connections. A hidden armored steel cable protects the wires from the rear of the RAVELCO base, on through to the engine compartment where all the connections are made and camouflaged. When the plug is removed from the RAVELCO, it is impossible to start the vehicle. There are more than 100,000 different combinations. NO MASTER PLUGS."
Given time anything installed can be uninstalled or bypassed but the time needed would prevent almost any theft of your vehicle. They would be better off towing it away.
I went ahead and installed an OBD2 port lock cover.I have the same questions actually. I've never seen one in person & just recently learned that theives can make new keys this way.
I finally received delivery of the 41.22 kill switch that I had ordered. I ordered the remote / wireless version. It took a while to ship out to me since 41.22 has been informing customers that they have been backed up processing orders.
I'll let you know how my installation goes and how the kill switch works out.
Btw, here's the link to their Web site for the kill switch:

Why did it take until 2026 models for this? 🫤Guys, check this out. I think for now it's only available in Canada. I still haven't found any more information, like the part number or whether it's possible to install it on our 4Runners. I really hope so. (Intrusion Sensor)

Another really good option is the Ghost II.IGLA is the only way to go.
All that is true but at least this is something & better than nothing. It'll at least deter the lazy & unsophisticated thieves. This is neat but a few things to keep in mind.
Its clearly visible the vehicle has it equipped.
Your horns can be cut prior to entry from the front grill.
Sophisticated attacks can create a key from outside the vehicle by accessing CANBUS wires.
Relay attacks will simply trick the car into thinking your key fob is close and the alarm will not sound anyway.
